Not sure whther this has been mentioned before but Gwen Stefani's new song 'Hollaback Girl' has the line Another One Bites The Dust in it with a brass band playing the original bassline just for that line.
"So that's right dude, meet me at the bleachers
No principals, no student-teachers
Both of us want to be the winner, but there can only be one.
So I'm gonna fight, gonna give it my all
Gonna make you fall, gonna sock it to you
That's right, I'm the last one standing, and another one bites the dust"

""Hollaback Girl" is the most stupid song I've ever heard."
- That would be "the stupidest song I've ever heard." Sorry, I will correct anyone's grammar that disses Miss Stefani's work.
I SAID GOOD DAY!
"Muah! :P sorry but I'd rather listen to someone fart than hear that song! It's the worst she's done."
- No accounting for taste, I'm guessing.
"What kind of word is HOLLABACK GIRL?"
- This is the best complaint you can come up with?
"It's kind of repetive at the beginning as well. :P :P hehehe, the only people who'd like that song are obviously No Doubt fans. Sadly it doesn't sound like No Doubt."
- Sadly you were under the impression that Gwen was creating a No Doubt album, when in fact, she has made a dance/solo album.
"I diss a lot of work. There's songs of Queen I hate, such as Lost Opportunity, I'm In Love With My Car, Misfire, and other songs. Everyone has to have some stupid songs. Oh well."
- Agreed, although I prefer constructive criticism.
"Go and listen to your Hollaback Girl! :D"
- FINE! You go listen to Misfire. :P

You don't like I'M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR?????!!!!!!!!!
wow..
Such cynicism...
It bugs me to see people saying music is shit just becuase they don't like it. What happened to just being critical? There's plenty of music I don't like, but it doesn't mean it's shit. Frank Sinatra, can't stand all that stuff - sounds the same - but he is still a legend and to some it is good music. U2, to me, it's boring. The Edge doing the same riff OVER and OVER, Bono constantly using politics to his advantage (and then spending an easily donatable £10,000 in a restauarant or something), but to some, U2 are good. Gwen Stefani's solo stuff might not be as good as her No Doubt stuff, but it's still catchy and that's all it's supposed to be, catchy. I actually quite like the beat to, except for the crap about bananas.
Gwen has gone Bananas this time.
I think the girl has a serious problem. I read recently that mentioned in an interview that she feels like she's fat when she's been nothing but skinny her whole life.
Personally I think that's an awful comment to make considering that many of her fans are girls who are in an age where they're very conscious about their physical appearance.
I feel bad for her because apparently she has an eating disorder, but she should realize that her appearence is the least of worries.
Thats my point, you think U2 are great, I don't... but it doesn't make them either does it? Precisely, two opinions living in harmony without a cynical argument.
But yeh, Bono does wind me up rotten. There was a quote on the front of a recent NME magazine, and it read "It's a political rally" - 'Bono on U2's new album' - it's crap like that that really wind's me up. You never got Freddie standing up at the front of the stage abusing his popularity and grip on the audience with political slant. Never mind eh...
Dan (Mr. Jingles), I hate to say it but there is this thing about ALL women who feel like they never look good enough. I really do not think that Gwen has an eating disorder. I think she might have issues, but I also think that the media has made too big a deal out of her comments about being thin (I am taking it that we most likely heard this comment from the same place).
Oh, and I loved the recent VH-1 show called "How Thin Is Too Thin?" If those women didn't have eating disorders before, they certainly have them now because of hearing people's comments about their weight. That show was tacky.
When I heard Gwen's comment, I certainly didn't take offence and I am a young woman who is supposed to worry about her weight, because that is what is expected of me.
And hey, if you were as popular as she is, wouldn't you stop to say to yourself once or twice that you don't look good enough? I know ANY woman would say that, for sure.
