This category includes Science fiction, fairy tales, horror, paranormal stuff, basic fantasy stuff. Mine through the years are:

Dark Angel
Quantum Leap
Starship Enterprise
Star Trek, The Next Generation
The Crow, Stairway To Heaven
Smallville
Charmed
Lois & Clark
The Outer Limits
The Twilight Zone
Early Edition (MUCH better than Tru Calling)
i quite like:
star trek: DS9
star trek: enterprise (yeah, i know!!!)
earth 2 (anybody remember that?? it was GREAT!!!)
milennium (yeah, i know!!!)
x-files
BUT my favourite tv-series gotta be SIX FEET UNDER!!!! doesn't count because it doesn't belong in this category :P
I always wondered what was it about Star Trek that made it so popular? The times I've seen it I always thought it was lame.
Anyways, for me the best are
- X-Files
- Twilight Zone (60s version)
- Amazing Stories
Star Trek (ALL versions and movies)
Star Wars
Battlestar Galactica (ALL versions)
Buck Rogers in the 25th century (Gil Gerard)
maybe more but can't think right now, making lasagna and am getting real hungry
Star Trek (original and TNG)
X-Files
Twilight Zone (original)
Incredible Hulk (guilty pleasure)
VR5 (honorable mention)
Smallville
Lost
The Prisoner (not sure if it qualifies but no one has mentioned this awesome surreal show)
There are many more because this genre is my favorite... so I may add more.
Oh God! Scooby Doo is probably the WORST cartoon that has ever been made. I don't understand how can a show with lame jokes and the same plot on every single episode can be successful. Then again, the same thing happened with Pokemon, although I found this last one to be somehow more entertaining.
The only good thing about Scooby Doo was Daphne, she was kinda hot.
I don't watch TV that much anymore, but when I did, I liked the original Star Treks cause they are hilarious. SOOO bad, but they also have good wholesome messages, so it's all good. Still, they're pretty entertaining amusing-wise. The music makes me laugh sometimes (the exact same music is played toward the end of True Grit, cracks me up something awful!).
Plus those albums that Shatner and Limoy made are pricelessly hilarious! I'm glad I have a compilation CD of theirs. :P
:)
There are actually people who think that Shatner is talented. I pity the fools, seriously.
Yet, his "singing" is hilarious. You should listen to his versions of 'Rocket Man' and 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' and burst yourself laughing.
Shatner just put out a NEW record...called (this is NOT a joke) "Hasbeen" I think, produced by Ben Folds and it actually got RAVE reviews in the USA music press...scary....

Mystery Science Theater 3000, which incidentally, is my all-time favorite tv show.
I remember watching 'The Incredible Hulk' TV series when I was a little kid and being scared to death of seeing him transform into The Hulk.
I also remember back in the early 1990s being so pissed off because I missed 'The Death Of The Incredible Hulk' when it came on TV.

I saw it... It was the end of an era for me as a child. I still watch that show every now and then. :)
Doctor Who
Quatermass
Sapphire & Steel
The Nightmare Man
Blake's 7
Quantum Leap
The Flipside of Dominick Hide
Edge of Darkness (Yeah, it counts!)
The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (The TV series will always be definitive for me, I think, just cos it was the first version I ever experienced)
Dr Who
Space 1999 (anyone remember that?)
Lost in Space
The Thunderbirds
Mork & Mindy
Battlestar Galactica (loved the original and kinda getting to like the new one)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel
Simpsons
Lost
Star Trek the original and New Gen
We have some Australian made tv shows that are also my favourites (NO not Neighbours!) but unfortunately most of you guys wouldn't know them
God the list is endless - actually just got Foxtel (that's our cable here in Australia) and I'm revisiting some shows I haven't seen in ages - its great!
I'm not big on sci-fi, but I like Smallville (for some weird reason), and the original Twilight Zone, which I only get to watch twice a year. I live for The Twilight Zone marathons on New Years and July 4.
