That's right-- after weeks of pondering and in some cases, outrage from Queen fans as to why the Mojo Classic Collector's Edition was not being carried by Barnes & Noble in the United States, it has finally landed in the store's magazine section.
I was at the store to pick up the Uncut featuring Robert Plant & Jimmy Page, when, much to my pleasant surprise, I spotted the Queen tribute mag. This is quite a good thing for us Queen fans, considering for the last month or so, the mag has only been carried by independent book outlets. Barnes & Noble's carrying of the tribute will allow for a larger audience to become aware of the magazine's existence.
It is, quite possibily, the most comprehensive such feature done on Queen that has ever been published in a magazine.
You live in Harford County if I remember right. I live in Balto. Co. and I was in Pikesville's branch Of B&N this morning. (we are talking about the USA state of Maryland folks). They Still didn't have it in, but that branch usually puts out new magazines on Sunday morning so I will check.
I also plan on driving my once a week trek to Rockville on Sunday (weather permitting) and I will check Tower Records, Barnes & Nobles, Borders Books & Music down there and come back with a full report.
Record & Tape Traders...sold most of their copies weeks ago. I bought mine on April 4.
I really want this magazine to hit BIG here, as I have also said before (and you said above), it's vital that magazine hits BIG here in the USA to boost Queen's profile, past..and present with the current tour, and to help raise demand, awareness, public interest in Queen, their music, their catalog, and for a USA tour.
Oh and to all QZ detractors out there who have ridden my ass about mentioning this magazine alot on QZ...that's the damn point! so people in the USA and North America KNOW about it and it boosts Queen's profile and helps Queen decide to tour here....Geez!

I saw it when in the Barnes & Noble at White Marsh Avenue. Hopefully this will be indicative of things to come, and not a one-location occurence.
I go to the White Marsh store alot too. That's about 25 minutes away from me. On the Avenues at White Marsh. Love that store with the fountain. I just came back from B&N Pikesville AGAIN, that branch still doesn't have it.
Record & Tape Traders Owings Mills still has 3 issues I was just there!
The Queen Classic Collectors Edition Magazine as of Sunday 5/1/2005 is being distributed across the United States. As of today it is available on the East Coast In Maryland, in Tower Records Rockville, Borders Books & Music Rockville, Barnes & Noble Rockville & Pikesville.
All of these stores have several issues, & Tower Records has about 3 dozen issues (which they should have at all of their USA stores).
The wide range, high profile availability of this comprehensive chronicle and document, at least for USA Queen fans, is insightful, informative, in depth and offers some of the most thorough information past and present on Queen for USA Queen fans, via this outstanding UK publication.
For USA fans of Queen eager to learn more and be updated to the history and music of Queen...especially with the potential for Queen touring the USA, this magazine is a must have precursor.
Thats a lot of a mag with really no "new" news or photos I have seen quite a few times on the internet.
Bless the internet, allmost makes paying for a mag obsolete
hey I found the magzine this morning at barns @noble's. they had it up high and out of the way on the shelf so I almost didn't see it. It wasn't in the place I thought it would be. any way thanks for letting us know that its here to all of you that have been posting up-dates. from kikyo's mom.....weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeits a great magzine............
