What's with all the screaming on this album? Especially in Headlong/Love Token? "I don't wanna lee-ee-e-e-e-e-eve you mommaaa!!!"
Quite unbrian like...
Did I say there was? Just seems a bit out of character. His blood curdling scream at the end of Love Token and his Ozzyesque grunting at the start of Hammer to Fall are a bizzare contrast to his normal stage presence.. was he trying to prove himself as a frontman or something? He was his normal soft spoken self at the '98 gig I saw and on the QPR downloads..
He wanted to try something new then. In 1998 he probably felt that he didn't need to be a Freddie-like frontman, because we liked him whatever he's doing on stage.
I don't know how to answer on this... I didn't hear all BTTL shows so I don't know - maybe he sung in the such way on every show.
