Hes not you
Tho he's never claimed to be.
He could never ever be,
The Man named Freddie Mercury
No he's not you
Doesn't have your style or grace
Still have to give him his due,
But No, he's not you
He's not you
Don't have your vision and sight,
Can't blame the other ones,
They only do what they think is right.
No he's not you,
Doesnt have your soulful voice
Still have to give him his due,
But for your fans , theres only one choice
He's not you
Your forever in our hearts and minds.
He could never be you ,
Our Love for You, will stand the test of time....

We Love You Freddie , Forever and Always
Beautiful! Is that PR? I can tell it comes from the heart.
Here is mine, written I think in 1993:
Her thin, fairy figure wanders in the silent dark
She’s after a child’s dream that’s fluttering towards the park
She belongs to the cool night
she needs no light, no spark.
And He enters my room
And his handhelps me rise.
“You’re on the ground again?”
He stares into my eyes.
“I may even die with you”, I heard him say.
“So don’t be blue. I’ll be here when it’s day”.
Then I’m alone and peacefully stare
Into the still of the magic night air.
Her fairy figure fades away...
And He after her.
(“He” is Freddie; the Fairy represents the magical, wonderful, spiritual world he now lives in. Once I was so scared that when I would die, I would have to take that journey alone. But Freddie put this thought into my mind that when I die, he’ll be with me.).
I have written one poem dedicated to Freddie on each Nov 24th. I sure am not a poet, but they all come from my heart.
Here's mine,
He's beautiful and graceful,
You can't take your eyes off him
The breath taking site before you.
His music soothes your soul and calms your spirit,
His face, so soft and kind,
and a personality to match.
He's so warm, gentle and oh, so talented.
But he was so unfairly stolen,
a million tears were shed,
a million prayers were uttered for our beloved Freddie.
He was so brave, a hero, an inspiration to us all.
We love him, we always will
and he will never ever be forgotten.
Thanks Mrs Taylor 05,
yours is beautiful too. He sure was and is so soothing, and he was stolen from us though he still lives on. I believe he can feel the good vibrations of all these little poems.
I love this thread! Thanks BaronessBeaverbrook!! I encourage anyone who has written anything for Freddie to post it. And don’t worry about rhyme schemes and stuff :-). ThomasQuinn, we write these things because we love Freddie and our words come from our hearts. I couldn’t care less about metrics…though I certainly know all about that (I’ve studied lots of literature!). This is not what they’re meant to be and I think your comment was really out of place. Don’t spoil the great atmosphere of this thread.
Fairy
Thank You Fairy , Thank You so much . And to You Thomas , yes my poem may be kinda childish , but let me tell you this , as Fairy said I wrote it from my heart and soul , I dearly loved Freddie and still do , and it may have been my first poem , so its not what you consider "right" so pardon me if i am not up to your class and your perfect style . Im sure Freddie would have loved it despite the fact it is what you say it is , read between the lines buddy , perhaps you just may feel the love and the tears i shed for that man , poems are not about perfection dear , so grow up and learn to see with your heart instead of your so called educated mind ... Fairy and Mrs Taylor , thank you so much for your kind words and Fairy your poem was beautiful , Mrs Taylor , so what if it didnt rhyme , it was beautiful as well
Thank you so much BaronessBeaverbrook!!! For your nice comments and for posting this thread. It was a wonderful idea and it gave us the opportunity to share our little poems, the expression of what we feel. Too bad just the 3 of us have shared one. I've written many, but this one I posted is the dearest to me.
You guys post more of them, anytime you like!
