Alright guys...don't laugh but I saw Kenny Chesney in concert on Saturday in Lexington (KY). Uncle Kracker and Gretchen Wilson opened for him. Rupp Arena was sold out!!! Not one open seat!! It was an ok show but man he wears his jeans tight. I wonder how he gets them on and off.
So anyway, the ticket was free so I went. The lines for beer were way too long so I was mad about that. All in all though an ok time.
For those of you that don't know who Kenny Chesney is...he is a country singer. Yee haw.
I bet he paints his jeans on.
And while I'm not a fan of modern country music, I do like some older, bluegrass kinda things (I love the soundtrack for "O Brother, Where Art Thou?").
Allison Krauss is certainly top! I also enjoy the music of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, and the rest of the old school crop.
New country is simply Rock with a Twang...

Oh God
I hate bluegrass so much that I'd be more enjoyable for me to Ashlee Simpson's 'Autobiography' than the soundtrack for "O Brother, Where Art Thou?".

That's nice.
Ok guys...while I'm not a diehard country fan...and I love ragging on the redneck element...I do admit, that all through the 1990's every June I used to go to The Mid-Atlantic Deer Creek Fiddler's Convention..a HUGE 2 day Competition and concert at the Carroll County Farm Museum here in Maryland...and I have to say...and I'm a TRUE Rock & Roller...that I ALWAYS had a blast every year.
You would get musicians who played Dobro, Steel Guitar, fiddle, mandolin, harp, acoustic guitar, banjo...who didn't even know each other in groups of like 20 or so all over the farm grounds getting together and jamming away, while the concert was also going on on stage. Great fun.

Actually they play Rock songs in the style of Bluegrass.. they do a GREAT version of Fat Bottomed Girls.. you ain't heard nothin yet until you hear Hells Bells played Bluegrass style.. have you heard of Dueling Banjos? well the Banjo player and his Mandolin playing brother are the SONS of the gent that WROTE IT.. link

One of my favorite shows!
Bill Engvall is playing the Lyric theater here! Bet he's really rude and lewd live!
Blue Collar TV= awesome! :D
Bill Engvall- awesome as well and yes much ruder than his Blue Collar Comedy Tour performances let on. I saw him last year at my local town's performance house. :D Got an autograph and everthing.
I like country too, mainly the early to mid 90s stuff from Clint Black, Clay Walker, the good Garth Brooks stuff, and a lot of various single hits. :D

Why should I laugh at that when, way back when I was very young and a fan of Starsky And Hutch, I was once taken to see David Soul in concert......
