Hmmm.. this was posted on the Easytree site a few minutes ago.... Hello gals and guys, We're very sorry having to tell you that we had to shut down EZT forever just a couple of minutes ago. We got a call from our provider, they had received a few letters from a couple of lawyers. They requested EZT to be shut down immediately, otherwise we and the hosting service would be sued. As you may imagine, we do not have the funds to fight a battle we most probably can't win anyway. We would like to thank everyone here for their contributions to EZT, one way or the other, for sharing the music, sharing an ideal, for all your mails, rants, praises... To say it with Joan Armatrading: We had fun, fun, fun, fun fun, fun, fun, fun we had fun -- while it lasted... --"Tall in the Saddle"-- You all take good care! The EZT team I could understand when the likes of suprnova went down but EZT did not host any official materials? Sad news indeed. |
David Jones 06.04.2005 13:18 |
Bollocks... There all going this way. And they didn't share official stuff either! I hate the music industry... |
oasis_muse 06.04.2005 13:20 |
Did anybody manage to download the Buenos Aires 1981 dvd off there? If so, could you please torrent it here. I was at about 80%. |
Crankenstein 06.04.2005 13:24 |
I got the whole download. I'll see what I can do about posting it here. |
Elessar 06.04.2005 13:29 |
The demise of EasyTree happened at a VERY similar time to QOLers being read toe riot act regarding unofficial bootlegs by admin. Queen and U2 concerts were probably the most traded artists in recent weeks, and Bono has publically said he has no problem whatsoever with fans trading live shows for free. So could EMI and Queen be directly to blame? |
willem-jan 8923 06.04.2005 13:30 |
I'm still seeding that one. Anybody downloaded Hyde Park? I've got some problems with the allocation of the files, can't burn it properly. |
oasis_muse 06.04.2005 13:39 |
Thanks Crankenstein. I wasn't connected to buenos aires, when easytree went down, so i cant resume. I have the Hyde Park DVD, but I dont know anything about allocation problems, cos' I dont have a dvd writer. |
Crankenstein 06.04.2005 13:47 |
I have Hype Park, but honestly can't remember if I've burned it to DVD yet or not (can't keep track of what I have or finshed anymore) I don't think there was a problem though. |

OK, nevermind :) |

This blows, however their tracker is still online (atleast I'm uploading to peers) Trader's Den is still out there, but seems to have taken a huge leap in traffic now (wonder why...) link |
agneepath! 11994 06.04.2005 14:09 |
EZT had a very strict policy on uploading official meterial... the torrents were banned very quickly! Wonder what the powers that be, objected to? |
oasis_muse 06.04.2005 14:17 |

Whats the difference between that one and YV's one, do you know? |
Bizon 06.04.2005 14:46 |
hmm strange... i'm still downloading argentina 81 and it's even way faster than it was previously... hmm not that it's bad but strange ;) |

I was the uploader of Hyde Park on EZT, so I will see about uploading it here, tho I have no idea how...help anyone? I think it is awful that they had to shut down. Why should the industry go after bootleg sites when there are still hundreds of proud piracy sites. It seems that piracy should be a much higher priority. |

No song selection or skipping etc. |

Really? That is very strange because I watched the ripped version before I uploaded and it had a song selection menu. I'm sorry, I don't know why you don't have it or how you can fix it. |

"We're very sorry having to tell you that we had to shut down EZT just a couple of minutes ago." For some reason they edited their message - this time leaving out the "forever" bit... it previously read "shut down forever" So perhaps they plan a return? Or am clutching at straws? |
Monkberry 06.04.2005 17:01 |
can anyone post the torrent from the argentina 81 QTV DVDr 3.8 Gb version here? thank you. |

On the weekend, I am going to open up the tracker for anyone to post torrents. Ideally, i want it to be as successful as the david bowie torrent site: link ---- If you want to post torrents before then (ie, Sunday), let me know and i will setup your account. |

It's great that you will be opening up the site for people to post torrents. I just hope no one will be allowed to post their lossy crap (no offense). Maybe a 20 second mp3 snippet can be allowed to illustrate sound quality. Just an idea. |
Queenman!! 07.04.2005 05:43 |
Fuckin Hell! always the same old shit. A bunch of well overpaid tossers who have nothing to do in there boring life, spoile the fun of so many fans over the world who share Queenmaterial and other stuff. "When will the hurting stops?!" |

The share ratio is an excellent idea and it might encourage some to actually torrent new material. |
Richard Orchard 07.04.2005 23:23 |
Hi, Phase 1, i will just be opening up the tracker. Phase 2, hopefully in a couple of weeks or so, i will be integrating the tracker with the website, and tracking peoples downloads, etc. |

Hopefully this scare will smarten people up in regards to posting officially available material. Next time we may not be lucky enough to have such a forum for sharing great music. EasyTree (Dime A Dozen) is unparralleled in terms of quality and variety of live recordings. |
