I never have sadly. I had a friend in college, who PURELY by chance talked to Brian May at an Airport in Rome in 1997. He was on a trip from USA to oversea's with a group of 5 of our friends. He was at an airport, and got seperated from everyone else. He saw a man coming who had a small crowd gathered around and kept hearing the chants of "Freddie". He is such a non- Queen fan, that he walked over to this person, and still did not recognize who it was, until someone said "Do you miss making music with Freddie". Brian replied "not just making music, I miss my friend". Jason (my friend) said there was about 8 people (including him) gathered around asking nosey questions...and Brian patiently answered them all. Jason had MY cd of "Sheer Heart Attack" in his luggage, so he had Brian sign it "To Queen's #1 fan Scott _________ my last name" A few things he noticed about Brian: He studies you when you speak to him. Jason said he never seen anyone listen so intently. Also, Jason is a 6'3, no doubt about it....and he said toe to toe....even without the hair, Brian was ever bit as tall as him, if not taller. He said he was ungodly nice, no ego at all....was with a lady and said "You all are terrific, but I must get going". Someone yelled "Queen is #1, the reign lives on" in a broken foreign accent. Brian turned around said "thank you very much" and walked away. I've had that story rubbed in to me 1000 times....but hey, at least he got me something I know was signed in person. I will post pics if I get my digital camera back... One of the girls Jason was with met back up with him as Brian walked away took a picture of Brian from a distance ....but you can tell its him 100%. |

Scott, that's a wonderful story! That is just the image I have about Brian. Has anyone met Freddie? I wonder what he was like when meeting fans... |

I still took ages for Brian to emerge and what the hell happened to Roger? |

I met Brian and Roger when they came to Barcelona to see the Musical, a few months ago. We waited about 1 hour outside and then two cars appeared. I firstly ran (with a huge crowd behind me) to Brian's car. Then he started signing and I gave him my Queen II vinyl and signed to me. He was so kind! Finally I told him: 'I love you men!' and he answered me back: 'Oh, it's alright' with a sweet smile :) Then I ran over the other car where Roger was. I was the only person waiting near the car, as everybody was focusing to Brian. Then Roger finally got out and I pleaded him to sign me (as the bodyguards were pushing me). He had a bad face, I think he might feel sick, but he looked directly at my eyes and decided to sign my disc. Result: Queen II vinyl album signed by Brian and Roger in one night, my favourite night of my life! link I'm the one at the right. |

Hi!! I met Roger on saturday 2 april...next monday after Madrid show...I was waiting for them at the hotel we supposed they were...after 2 hours of waiting, a worker of that hotel told us that Brian was the only Queen member inside the hotel, the others were in another hotel, so we decided to go there...when we arrived we were waiting patiently until Roger and his girlfriend walked out the door, he was quite similing, he gave to me 3 autographs and we took a picture together, he signed to my friends, talked a little to us (or maybe we talked to him!) and then he went into the car and went to the airport...he was very kind!! We didn't see Paul Rodgers, and I haven't any idea about what Brian, Roger and Paul were in different hotels... Take care! |

Hi After the brixton show rog briefly said hi to all of us standing there and bri came and shook our hands and we had a very short chat about the 46664 artic. Paul Rodgers stoped in paris to sign stuff of his car window, but when it was my turn, the security guards said no more, so it was a alomst. Earlier in the day first danny and jamie came together in a car and they waved up when they heard us calling their names. then spike came in and he waved from the car and seemed very nice, then roger, brian and a heep of other cars came in (btw, rog was wearing an almost russian looking hat, he does like his weird hats :-)) brian stoped when he got out waved and talked a little... after the show i met brian, I was the first person he came to and the first thing he said was, hey, i remember you (i have met him a few times before when he's been playing gigs like brixton, fender, zucchero, madrid and the dominion, it's nice to be remembered:-)) and afterwards he signed my t-shirt. i also met him again in madrid, when i waited outside of his hotel (roger was not living there, dont ask my why the have seperate hotels?) after the show and he looked tired so just said great show and good night. I went there again the next morning hoping maybe to see roger there and maybe get a pic with brian. He came out and said good morning and i asked if i could take a pic of us together, and he said he didn't feel like a pic but he could give me a big hug instead!!! Great way to start the day!!! Barcelona and Rome were crapy places (but good concerts) because there was to much security and too hard to get a hold on them. So now i am back in Norway, and will be back in time for Vienna and hopefully all the rest of the concerts too. I will write again if something more happens... Take care all you queenies out there, and keep yourself alive, love Michelle. |

A friend of mine has met Brian at the Palalottomatica's bar before the Rome's concert. He was taking a beer and so signed his hand (he did'nt have anything to sign!!) After the concert we followed Roger's car for a while. We stopped at the same traffic light and he looked very very tired and maybe sad. But maybe it was just my impression...anyway I have to admit that even his drumming was a bit too relaxed during the show! |
