I have been reading several topics on Queenzone today. I have no IDEA what the hell is in the air, but while I always see little tiffs and disagreements on various topics that get completely off the topic and turn into a personal battle...it usually is a small minute post or 2 then ends quickly and then returns to the actual topic to be discussed. Today however, from one of my own topics, to several other topics that I have read but observed OTHER people's posts to one another...everyone is going WAY OFF....and completely NEGLECTING to discuss the Topics they are on...and waging their own stupid tit for tat NASTY battles with NUMEROUS back & forth posts...that Totally go off the track of the TOPIC being discussed...with Zoners getting way too NASTY than usual. Hey....calm down folks.. This is not a forum to take out your agendas and frustations. I don't mind sarcasm and wit, I actually like it, it spices thing up a bit, and I don't mind a few blown fuses now & then...but today is ridiculous and zoners are neglecting to discuss certain topics all together by straying off into personal wars with one another. Can't we all just be half ass civil and discuss the actual Topics. Thank you! As Monty Python would say...And Now for something completely different... |

Penetration_Guru...just dont start...she's very wise for standing up and pointing this out. we all have been doing this. i, for one, apologize for doing such things (hell, did i just do it? -_-). we all do get off-topic a lot and end up making enemies over the stupidest things. |

The main problem is with people who can't accept that people may not necessarily share their point of view, and who refuse to respect that other person's point of view. |

Shouldn't you calm down, a little, too? Some people do it, but only for a few posts, and other nice, caring people say, 'Hey, can we get back to the topic, please? ´, and then everything is back to normal. But, on the other hand, I get your point. I was looking at the Freddie Tributes, and I wouldn't believe my eyes! Rude, snobish people were talking to each other, as if it was a private chat, instead of posting Freddie tributes!!! That's rude, especially since Freddie has passed away, and we were there to thank him for his songs. So, you win. You're right. People should get to the topic, but the can only send messages to each other only 2, 3 times, but page after page. |

Good question. CAN we be civil AND stick to the topics? No. Why? Some people get all up in a huff about some things that would seem civil, yet this huffy action turns the conversation immidiately into a non-civil conversation. All possiblities of civility are instantaneously terminated. The additional request to stay on topic is just too much. If you aren't going to get the first, you're not going to get this one either. That's just plain nuts! :D :P So, I wouldn't worry about it.
