I have been moaning for a while because there is no scottish date on the new tour. I ain't moaning any more! I watched the webcast for 4 and 1/2 hours so I wouldn't miss Queen + Paul. And quite frankly, I wish I had. To be honest the Queen set was heavily cut as I only seen 4 songs so my following comments may be unfair for the total set. Firstly when the band entered the stage I felt nothing, compared to when I watch a live DVD or listen to a live CD of Queen and I always still get excited. Now for the performance: Katie Meluya, I like her voice and her songs, but her version of "Too much love will kill you" was as bad as a Claire Sweeny effort I've heard before. And thank god on the tour Roger and Brian will be singing because Rodgers was mince, crap, rubbish, $@></?.!!! Fine he didn't try to copy Freddie and sang the songs his own way but hey! he didn't even know half of the words!!! And he messed up in "We are the champions" a song that almost everyone who has heard music in the world knows the words to! For me I think that Robbie Williams should have been chosen because unless Rodgers improves 99% the tour for Queen will be an embarrasment anyway!
I still would like to see Brian and Roger live though.
Let me know what you all think, am I being too hard?
It's a HUGE shame that we only got 4 songs!!!
As for the performance itself I'm sure this tour will be VERY good... Tie Your MOther Down was incredibly well done and Rogers drumming is the best I've heard in many years... Rodgers sang very cool and Brian is Brian :)
WWRY & Champions was also good but I'm not a fan of such choir ideas... hmmm.-.
TMLWKY was ok but I didnt like the arrangement.... I like the more overblown version as Brian did in 93, but for Meluha this worked allright....
I'm REALLY lookin forward to fat bottomed girls and the show must go on...
Ah... now I understand. They DID play a full set, then? But we only got the 4 tracks to hear. Hmm... how nice.
Anyway, yeah, when I heard the fluffs by PR I wasn't very pleased as I remember him singing these songs fine, back at the UKHOF. But I'm starting to understand yesterday might have been nerves like someone said in another thread. It makes sense in that respect.
I'd very much like to hear what their whole set was like. How will we be able to hear it - Paid downloads?
Peace,
Adam.

I agree with EVERYTHING you said EXCEPT about Robbie Williams. I don't want him either. And I agree that Katie Melua butchered "Too Much Love Will Kill You", and as for Paul Rodgers...My mom used to say if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
I just think that Roger & Brian should have toured as Queen and sung both Queen tunes and their solo tunes and given their fans enough credit to pack stadiums to hear the Genuine Queen article. Bag Paul Rodgers and let Brian & Roger tour as Queen. We love you guys!! Give us credit for it!! Cheer! Rah!
