Hello everybody. First time poster and spanish as native language...so forgive my bad grammar or my spelling mistakes.
I´m 29 years old from Merida Yucatan, Mexico, and have being a Queen fan for the last half of my life. In fact is my favourite band.
There is not much info about, but i´m quite sure that Queen had 2 or 3 concerts in Mexico from the HS tour in the early 80´s. The bad news is that those shows are known for have been supposedly...awful. As a background info, the super rock star international concerts in this country are kind of new stuff. Until the late 80´s , a rock show music was equal to disorder. So the goverment avoided almost every one of these spectacles...duh!
I believe that the Queen shows were always wonderful. So my theory is that those concerts in Mexico where bad not because of the band but the bad organization of the people who controlled the show, and the problems with the goverment.
Any way, i´ve been trying so hard to get true evidence of those shows, but have been not lucky. So the question is...Anybody here knows something about it? Honestly i´ve never heard about any bootleg.
Don´t worry, Mexico is much more civilized now.
Nobody wears sombreros since 1917.
Great Forum.
i got the puebla bootleg
and is very funny to hear the soundcheck and the introduction from some guy
"the problems came up acording the tour book because people start to throw trash to the stage, plus extra charges from authorities, jail for some crew members and awful food provided who make sick some people of the crew (theres a picture about that one on the book)"
