I'm a big fan of both and I know that maradona went on stage with them in 1981 and that he said a couple of words. Is there any footage of it and can I track down the audio of this gig?
Damn, did you see Maradona recently?
He looks like a blimp. Supossedely he's been in and out of drug rehab in Cuba many times. I have a feeling that one of these days Maradona is going to croak. The guy just doesn't seem to get over the drugs.
I remember once hearing a clip on a Queen website from Argentina.
I recalled Maradona saying...
"I'd like to thank 'The Queen' for allowing me to join them on stage, and here's 'Another One Bites The Dust'.
There IS audio of this guest appearance! And it was available to download on previous Mr Scully site.
Guys, for the God's sake, if you don't know - don't reply, please!
"No no footage. No video no audio as a pitty (as far as I am informend) Only I don't seem to get the connection betwen Maradonna and a concert from Queen. I mean like if Maradonna could sing or do soem backing vocals or at least something that sounds a bit like music I'd say oke. But I think it's more like: "Here's Maradonna he says hi to evrybody, say hi back to Maradonna, and look there he goes again""
Of course there's audio for that, many pics as well, and Maradona went to see the band and was invited on stage as a guest, what's wrong with that?so everybody that's on stage has to be a singer?.
Maradona was already a huge star in Argentina at the time, and internationally he was already being seen at the biggest thing since Pele.
So introducing the biggest band in the world by the biggest football player of that time was a moment that any audience would have cherished.
