As a veteran of many (well 4) live gigs by Queen, Rogers on stage habit, is well, downright disgusting. No wonder the rest of the band, never mounted the drum risers that often.
You make it sound like he is evil or something. Like is he "showing himself". I have never noticed the spitting, but I don't think its that is a big deal, there are worse things to do on stage then that, many singers spit or slobber on the microphone. I don't think Roger is something to worry about.
I think it's kind of cool how he'd cock his head back and spit high into the air while bashing on his cymbals...
The only time I ever found it gross was in the second disk in Japan, if I'm not mistaken, where you see his spit fall in chunks behind him. Yeah, that was kinda gross.
But other than that I think it's cool!
I don't really care it's his great drumming thats important to me. If he were playing guitar and walking about spitting at every one i would have a different opinion but i don't think he would do that.

I just wonder if he ever hit himself.
Well, as long as he showers after each concert.
Did Freddie?! I'm sorry... that was over the line. I always thought it was pretty gross when Roger hoarked in the air too. I'm sure the band kept their distance from experience.

If you're that concerned, then why don't you write him a letter asking him not to spit because it is offensive? Heh.
I don't care really.
Doesn't affect the music in a negative way if you ask me.
Cheers

why does everybody think hes gay
Honestly, I think it's because of Freddie. I know that before I became a Queen fan I thought that they all were, because that was what I had been told. I was told that was why they called it "Queen". Now I know the difference.
I'll confess:
When i first started getting into Queen, i thought Roger was a GIRL!!
I have heard since that in the early days, he had that "problem"...many people assumed he was a girl!!
i mean think about it...fair features, small stature...blond hair, girly cloths, jewlery..
I was young.....what did i know??? LOL!!!!

I thought so, too! I feel badly about it too now, because it seems that he was extremely fed up with that, from what I've read.
When I first got into Queen, I asked my dad what "the three guys and that girl's names are". Ouuuu. :)
When I showed my friend the pic of them in "I Want To Break Free" they thought he was a girl, too. Then they decided that he was a cross-dresser, but I'm not too sure about that one...
I'm thinking no.
