this was Freddie's last live performance, (14 april 1988). However some websites list it as Give Time for AIDS. was it an AIDS related show.
I just find it a bit hard to believe...because...at the time, according to Jim Hutton and others..Freddie was in denial, and whenever AIDS stories appeared on the tv, he switched it off.
I thought Time was 1986, and Fred's last live performance was in Ibiza or somehwere in Spain

hmmmm...
"On October 8th, 1988 Freddie and Montserrat appeared at the huge open air La Nit festival in Barcelona. They performed three tracks from their forthcoming album - How Can I Go On, The Golden Boy and Barcelona, accompanied by Mike Moran on piano. The long-awaited album, Barcelona, finally come out on October 10th.
October 8th was the last time Freddie Mercury performed on stage. At the time, he was terribly ill with AIDS, although he didn't want people to know about it."
this was on link
is it wrong then?
All 'Barcelona' performances were mimed.
Last one of Freddie's live shows was on Time - you're right. And it was amazing - he sang songs which are not available on his albums (except 'In My Defence') and if you'd find them (they're available over internet and I have them for many years) you wouldn't be disappointed!
yep I have them too.
its just on a few sites its called "give time for AIDS",and i just doubted that would be it..because he was in denial of sorts at the time..and anyway...papers would have lept on it.
Shame his last live performance was with Cliff Richard.

The only song i have from the time musical is called, It's in every one of us.
It's In Everyone Of Us, In My Defence, Born To Rock'n'roll and Time = Freddie's last live performance.
Yes, I agree it's kinda strange that he suddenly joined the fight against AIDS. But if it was a charity performance and he was invited - why would he refuse?
