I was reading up on President Nixon, and I read that he lived in New York City from 1980 to 1981, and also died there (in 1994). So I wrote to the Nixon archives to ask where he lived in NYC. I found out that he lived FOUR MINUTES AWAY from John Lennon! Pretty freaky coincidence, no? I wonder if they ever ran into each other!
Nixon hated Lennon because he knew that his popularity along with his liberal stand against the Vietnam war was a threat to his administration.
What I find quite amusing is the fact that Lennon and The Beatles used to be friends with Mia Farrow, who they met in the late 60s when both were involved in trascendental meditation and traveled to India.
Around that time Mia Forrowed stared in 'Rosemary's Baby', which was filmed in the Dakota Building in New York's 72th street. Later on in the early 70s, Lennon moved to the same building, in which he lived until he was shot in front of it.

Well, by the time Nixon was living in NYC the War was over and so was the Nixon administration.
... it was major Carter Country.
Bizarre. Wasn't it Nixon who tried to have Lennon's visas revoked or something like that? Can't say I blame him, I think Lennon was probably more popular at certain points :)

However, maybe Nixon tried to deport Lennon so that he could follow him, and they could move to Amsterdam and have hot and horny sex on matresses, with whipped cream...
... or not.

Actually there may yet be some veracity to this statement...
...I'm kidding; you're an idiot; they would never use mattresses.
