I was just wondering, if anyone would like to share some quotes of Freddie, or any other band member they have in some of the shows they have in their collection. A couple I have include Freddie briefly getting booed at a show in Philadelphia in 82. I was lucky enough to have been there and also aquired a boot of this show some years back. Anyway, Freddie asked after the opener, "So how are you doing Filthydelphia?" It didn't go over well. ALso, Brian totally trashing the Horizon in Chicago, saying "In this age of acustic computer design, how they can design a place this bad I do not understand." That is from 9-18-80 in Chicago. Another one I have is from the Japan tours of 74-74 theres no year on the tape. It's titled Stunning. Anyway, after finishing Father to Son w/ the 3 part harmony a capella Freddie states, "Yes, we finally did that one together." referring to the timing and the intune voices. It is perfect. Thats all for now. I can't think of any others at the moment. I'd love to read a few more. |

I love when Freddie's talking to the audience about his jewelry between songs, when he says, "These diamonds were a gift from the devil himself. What, you don't believe me?" And then he turns back to the band and says, "They don't believe me!" |

My favourite is (from those I know which aren't many) from one of the Wembley shows, when Freddie pointed out that his skills on the guitar were rubbish (before CLTCL) "I think everybody knows I can't play the fucking guitar, we all know that... difference being the guitar plays me, that would be more fun." (or something like that) |
Kai Kurgan 13.11.2004 02:32 |
Frankfurt ´82: I like it when Freddie announces some tracks of the "Hot Space"-album: "You wanna hear it? You don´t wanna hear it? When you don´t wanna hear it .. Fuck it and go home!" |
Shane Jazz 13.11.2004 02:50 |
I can't remember just which show it was, but one bootleg in my collection features Freddie saying, in not so subtle a manner, that Brian has a really large c**k.... I couldn't believe it the first time I heard it, and still can't...I can only imagine Bri's reaction! Or how about at Earl's Court, after '39, when Freddie says that he really enjoyed performing those acoustic numbers, so Brian was gonna have to go out and write more, because he can't... Little did he know that on the next tour, the new acoustic number would be one that he in fact wrote a few years earlier, Love of My Life.... |
brENsKi 13.11.2004 14:42 |
best one ever??? "if you like blowj*bs, and you can't get 'em - this is the next best thing: Fatbottomed Girls!" Freddie, Boston 82 |
brENsKi 14.11.2004 05:59 |
have you ever learned how to use the English language properly? you cannot put words in "quotes" and then say "something to that extent, anyway" |

I don't know, there are just so many of them, one that comes to mind is from the show in Stockholm 4-10-82, the song is "Save Me" and Freddie starts it normally, but Brian misses his cue.. so the whole thing was "It Started off so well...... It DIDN'T start off so Fucking Well.... " and then he says something after that but I can't see to understand it.. I had that as my Windows start up sound for years. |

I always love his talking very very much! My favorites are ones from "Earl's Court" as follows; "I can do this all night, if you like" as he made one or two deep bows to the audience with a smile before he was starting out "Death On Two Legs" "This is my champagne time. Cheers! I was gonna make a nice speech, but forget it. Cheers!" I also love his banter about his diamonds on his fingers from "Rainbow" very much. It was very fun when they took their last concert of '76 Japan tour on 4-4-76. The audience was sometimes so noisy that he said "Listen! Listen! Listen! Listen!" at last and then he said "Please Listen" in Japanese so clearly. Though it was not "banter"... I have its bootleg and I love it! |

The Save Me folly was cool, but I like the 'tits and bums' intro to FBG. |

Interestingly enough a conk is also a chemical way to straighten curly hair... (according to my unabridged Webster's dictionary) |
little foetus 16.11.2004 04:34 |
I don't know if he says conk or c**k (i think c**k) but this concert is the concert in Paris in 1980... |

It's nice to here when freddie says in stockholm 86: as you all now, this is the start of our new american, no european tour. It's olso great to hear that freddie speaks about that they aren't on there last tour in birmingham 840902 (as the newspapers says), and on the magictour he says that quenn will not split up. He has maybe looked into the future. But the best must be as allready stated: Hello ladies and gentlemen and everybody else. |
kohuept 16.11.2004 17:17 |
I don't want to stray from subject too much, but to save a new thread: In HamOdeon'75, just before 7SoR, Brian says "We're on our own now", Freddie agrees with "Right." I always found it amusing, but ?What does that mean? |
Vad 17.11.2004 14:22 |
Hi, newbie here! I like very much this one from a show in Birmingham, 1973 when they were supporting Mott The Hoople. Freddie says: "Good evening, We're called Queen. It's so nice to be here in Birmingham" They were perfect strangers to audiences yet. They had to introduce themselves. Who could ever tell what will come next? |
Rick 17.11.2004 14:40 |
Oakland 1978, just before Love of my Life: "This song is turning into a duet, Roger and John have gone backstage to get their blowjobs as usual, but we get them after the show." I love it :-)! |

There are far too many to list. But one of my favourites is from Montreal 78, before Fat Bottomed Girls: "This next song is dedicated to all you girls with great big tits and asses... and all you fellas with great big tits and asses." |
deleted user 19.11.2004 04:21 |
My favorite is "Hello again my beauties. Is it happening?" (Wembley '86) I have some quotes by them in my webside.. link Click "Tilvitnanir" and there you have it !! |
My Melancholy Blues 19.11.2004 13:47 |
...his talk from "Rainbow" again... "The nasty Queenies are back...what do you think of that?" |
mystic_rhythms 19.11.2004 14:20 |
One of my faves is from Milton Keynes, after the fast version of WWRY: "You know, it's not often that we do shows in daylight, and I fucking wish we done it before. I can see you all now!" *crowd goes wild* "And there's some beauties here tonight, I can tell you!" good one. I like the ones where Freddie mentions that he knows only "three fucking chords on the guitar" before Crazy Little Thing... it's funny |

> From Earls Court 77 (before "Death On Two Legs"): "This is about a nasty old man that i used to know, anyway"... > From Live Killers (before the same song) "This next song is from 'A night at the opera'... This is about (a real motherfucker)and we call him 'Death on two legs' hey hey..." > From several concerts (before 'AOBTD') "Another one bites your balls.... i mean, dust!" |
deleted user 20.11.2004 01:52 |
Well I don't have any quotes but I do like the Day-O's in betwwen, it really charges up the audience, especially Live Aid. |
mrbadguy86 20.11.2004 08:09 |
When Freddie said in Montreal 82 show : "You can get your clothes of if yah want!" to the audience, and John Deacon begin to play the intro to Under Pressure and Freddie begin to laugh.... |
Agnieszeq 20.11.2004 13:15 |
I like this one from Mannheim '86 I think: "Scheisse- that's the only German word I know." |
Agnieszeq 20.11.2004 14:00 |
Oh and this one is good, too: Freddie during Milton Keynes concert: "About 10 years ago I knew three chords on the guitar. And now, in '82 I know... three chords on the guitar!" London, 5.09.1984 (Freddie's birthday)- Brian before "Love Of My Life": "Sorry, but Freddie's got home for his birthday..." |
Scirocco1977 28.11.2004 14:21 |
Watched Wembley again. Who can tell me what Freddie says after Roger starts Bites the dust. Looks like Freddie did not know that it was going to be bites the dust or he wanted to have a drink first... He looks surprised, says something to Roger and Roger smiles... What is it Freddie says? Something like "You got me on this one" or "You called me on this one"... |
bitesthedust 29.11.2004 14:54 |
Freddie says "Hey, hey, you caught me out !". My favourite is... "Before we please you with a bit of heavy rock and roll towards the end, I'd like to slip in a little number - well I'd like to listen carefully to a simple little song, this is me on the piano, it's called You Take My Breath Away..." Freddie @ Earls Court 1977 |
Fredo 29.11.2004 15:10 |
"The things you have to do for money" - right after "Dreamers Ball" on "Live Killers" |

The first two you mentioned from "Earls Court" I thought it was so funny. There was one part where he was trying to get the audience to be quiet. It sounded like he called them "luvies" "lovies". I don't know, but It sounded funny. |

Mine are Montreal 1981 "Listen if you want to move around and shift your asses a little, it's OK, it's OK by us alright...........you can take all of your clothes if you like too, doesn't matter(Brian plays teaser of Under Pressure) Fuck off(said with a laugh by Freddie)........this is called Killer Queen". Also on Jailhouse Rock he said "Move it you fuckers come on". Brian was funny on Earls Court calling Earls Court "this ridiculous place" and also about the acoustic instruments "we hardly use these things, you understand". |
