I've read somewhere that Roger's eyes are too much sensitive that's why he started to wear sunglasses (his doctor at the beginning of 80s adviced him to do it). Or it just the 'rock star' image? Any other related info or ideas?

I don't think it's just the star image... I have heard that he has sensitive eyes and he can't be out in sun without sunglasses. I know some people with that problem too..
I remember reading that his sunglasses were perscription, but he had that laser-eye surgery a few years ago, which is why you don't see him wearing his glasses as often.

He simply had a bad eye-sight (before he underwent laser-treatment). That's all.
A few years ago in an interview on British TV Roger himself said that his sunglasses were prescription and he had laser surgery to correct his sight and doesnt bother wearing them anymore.
My eye doc recommends sunglasses that block both UVA and UVB rays - kinda like you have to protect your skin from these rays - not a lot of folks realize that the eyes have to be protected, too.

Probably true, but there have been pics that I've seen recently of him wearing shades. It's not very often, but he has worn them from time to time.

I had a laser-eye surgery too 2 years ago,in fact I was a little short-sighted.
It was pretty scary see the surgeon messing around into my eye with a bistoury and then the laser straight into the apple of my eye with a smell of burned chicken...but now I have the sight of Superman!
Rog did the right thing doing it!
