I picture Freddie involved in techno and electronic music more than rock'n'roll in these days, my opinions are based in his solo albums.
Your opinions?
Hmmm....
Since he liked to use everything when it came to making music, that would be kind of hard to determine. He would probably still have that amazing voice though, no matter what he did.
But wait...would Queen still be together??

Remix Staying Power with the Black Eyed Peas. Or Andre 3000/ Outkast.
He'd be doing caberet stuff like Michael Buble. Freddie would be the premier crooner in the entire universe. Just look at 'In My Defense' and his later stuff.
hm .. hard one.
I don't think disco music .. The man went with the time, and I don't think that he wanted to do till 2004 the same kind of music.
I think he would do a lot of collaberations with today (real!) artists.
In my opinion he would be still togheter with Queen pruducing albums and tours with less frequence than before and he would developed a proper solo career with great collaborations with artist he loved like another duet with Montserrat Caballè,Aretha Franklin and Liza Minelli,or more modern ones like Anastacia.I see him making soundtracks for films and get heavily involved in producing other artists.
But AIDS took us the only genius in the business...
Dear Freddie,I still love You...
Freddie would not *be* one of the Village People, he would be PRODUCING a series of Village People-esque performing groups, and those would simultaneously appear around the world doing a tastefully risque revue of dances set to Queen songs along with some stand up comedians to sort of fill things in during costume changes. People would then not be bothered with all the attention-sapping plot of an actual musical, but could just watch the hot boys dance as the good lord intended. Like Naked Boys Singing but more popularized and accessible. You can buy action figures of your favorite dancing boys, and of course all the calendars and posters and tshirts and videos you could want. And then, audiences choose favorites so that the cutest boys of all and maybe some girls if there seems to be a market for it will all appear in reality shows on TV, with again a Queen-related soundtrack and more advertising.
Freddie himself would have by now moved to Texas, where he would reside in an elaborate compound of which we hear only rumors of its fabulousness, it's way more exclusive than the Playboy Mansion or Buckingham Palace. Whenever he appears in public, it's in all the papers, but he never says anything except to plug whatever new designer he likes now. One guy dated him for like three weeks and then went on Oprah and then the next month he was found eaten by coyotes in the desert, so no one says anything anymore. Queen put out new Queen albums about once every three years, only they have decided they are too exhausted to tour, so they do different world musics on each album instead. They play Vegas though twenty nights a year, tickets are unaffordable for most.
::don't know where I channeled that from, just a joke, people::

Some good collaborations, some Queen stuff... maybe he would have gone into production.
Look, REM and U2 are still releasing new stuff... maybe he'd have gone that way with Queen. A tour every 2 or 3 years, or maybe not since he said he wouldn't be running around on stage forever...
Who knows?! but I think he'd definitely still be in the music business right up there with Elton John, and the other big names!
lol!! if Freddie was here today his past must of been crap for him.. I mean if he made it this far he has been keepin it squeeky clean in the 70s & 80s music world, no need to indulge in sex and drugs, he will feel ever so mortal... so too the answer you looking for he might risk in making an alternative rock song he calls Bohemian Rhapsody and even that people nowadays will think it should be put on to MTV2 as everything is boxed nowadays.
no he wouldnt get far...
if you think of his fames leading up to his death and if death didnt curse him... he will duet of course like the hunddreds of artist now thats dueting... I think a bit of Elton, Geaorge michael...patch things up with Michael jackson with a song... and he will be involved som way in the growing culture of R&B. an extension of hotspace with him hitting those soul notes and may be famous rappers filling in the gaps..
Freddie would be the creme de la creme in todays world... thats if you dont think about the musically boxed up politics that we have now...
in that sense he will hit all charts!
the Kerrang the vh1 certainly!! Mtv no doubt and even I think mtv base... he be to much of a veteran to be in those alternative rock channel mtv2
thats my view, and if I can put Freddies music against my tastes of music am sure music in general dont have a boundary line.
peace out..

I reckon he'd have done a bit of all styles by now, and would be experimenting with the new styles coming out now, but would still be in Queen or at least still be doing stuff with the rest of Queen.
