...at least I think it was him. It was a long while ago. Could have been Banquo actually - curse you with your usernames beginning with 'B'!
Anyway, we and a few other posters here had a right old moan when BBC-2 decided not to purchase any more episodes of Granada's Jeremy Brett "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" series earlier this year, having shown the first 13 up to and including "The Final Problem". Evidently they seemed to think the cheaper option of "Cagney & Lacey" was some sort of adequate substitute...
However, someone at the Beeb obviously noticed the Saturday afternoon repeats were quite popular with some of us, as yesterday they began showing "The Return of Sherlock Holmes", although I didn't notice until I happened to catch the opening moments after switcing off a DVD I'd been watching.
Good on the Beeb for buying the next series, and I hope they show the rest of the Brett run as well. You may go back to whatever you were doing now...
And once again I get confused with Banquo...
Sooner or later I'm gonna have to write up a list of rules for determining the difference between the two of us, or maybe to keep things simpler we could just assimilate into one freak hybrid poster called Banquohardy.
Cheers, remember Banquo supports Preston North End Bohardy supports Arsenal ;)
I didn't catch it I was at the footie and forgot to tape it. I will be now though.
If you want to watch some quality TV buy 'That Peter Kay Thing' in DVD funny as hell 'Leonard' should go down as a seminal piece of television.
