I was wondering... Both Brian and Roger are good friends with Bob Geldof and Midge Ure and the fact is they have both said in the past it was a shame they were on tour for the original recording of the song.

Some things never change - Brian is on "tour" again under the Queen banner, this time promoting the musical. So if your implying that he and Roger be part of the new recording of "Do They Know..." then I would say its highly unlikely.
Freddie woz pissed he wozn't asked for the original recording, that's why it took a while for Sir Geldof to change his mind with the Live Aid thing. :D
I can't see Brian and Roger on the new one. Singing maybe. Roger drumming maybe, but Brian on his guitar? Would they alter the song to add something for Brian? Interesting, but I doubt it.
Peace,
Adam.
It's in talks and could be done over the next month in time for the christmas single, apparently. Chris from Coldplay, Fran Healy from Travis and Justin from the Darkness are mentioned. I caught that news bit on Top Of The Pops and it featured at least 3 more people that I can't remember. Here's the article posted (without the other three unknowns): link

It's pretty clear from what we know so far of the guest list that they're looking for "the young people" to dominate... however talent-starved they may be...

Bono has also been asked to come back and re-do his famous "Well tonight thank God its them instead of you" line, the one he originally said that he hated.
