Is anyone else watching the Red Sox game?
| KillerQueen840 20.10.2004 21:25 |
Baseball isn't my favorite past-time, (I'm more of a hockey person) but I can't help watching the game. I think they are actually going to make it this year!!!!! *crosses fingers* I must add, GO RED SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| SergeantPepperDG 20.10.2004 21:28 |
Nope. I think I'm the only person in the U.S. who doesn't care at ALL about this. Even my friends who don't like baseball care. I'm pretty indifferent to sports. I get really pissed off when there's a baseball game (or football, or basketball, something) or on when I'm planning to watch something. |

I hope the Red Sox win. It would be amazing considering they were down 3-0 in the series. It's amazing that they've tied it. I'm not a big fan of the Red Sox but you have to root for the Yankees to choke! |
| KillerQueen840 20.10.2004 21:54 |
DAYMON GOT ANOTHER HOME RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I'm still not a big baseball person) YEEEEHAAAW! |

What the heck is going on with baseball anyway? Stupid Fox has it practically every night lately.. and even starting in the afternoon sometimes, which eliminates Judge Judy from my day. It's happened twice this week and dammit, I need my Judge Judy! |
| SergeantPepperDG 20.10.2004 22:01 |
That's exactly how I feel! Except I don't watch Judge Judy... |

It's 3am here in the UK and I am enjoying watching the Sox leading 8-1. I just hope I can stay awake long enough to see the end of the game! |
| KillerQueen840 20.10.2004 22:11 |
Wow... I thought that I was staying up too late for a school night here... but man.. that's going to be killer when you go to work tomorrow! |
| KillerQueen840 20.10.2004 22:11 |
And thank you for your red sox support all the way over there! |
| Saint Jiub 20.10.2004 22:13 |
Although I find baseball to usually be very dull, I too enjoy seeing the Yankees choke - it is so very Cubs-like. Unfortunately, with two traditionally loser teams (Boston and Houston) potentially going to the World Series, this further solidifies Chicago's reputation as a loser sports town. |
| Bob The Shrek 20.10.2004 22:17 |
The only pisser is that we are having such shit weather - it's playing havoc with the satellite transmission. |
| Mr.Jingles 20.10.2004 22:19 |
I live in New York, and I just hate the Yankees... Well I hate the Mets too, because they just plain suck. I started to support the Yankees back in 1996 when their first World Series in like decades, but then I just got fed up with the arrogance of their fan base. I'm always in support of sport teams that nobody has even considered favorites (like Greece in the Euro 2004) and somehow they have overcome all the odds and prooven everybody wrong. |
| KillerQueen840 20.10.2004 22:19 |
Awe, I remember when we had satellite and all of chirping and mosaic-like pictures appearing on the screen during snow storms and rain. Then we switched to comcast cable. Not bad so far. |
| KillerQueen840 20.10.2004 22:27 |
My mum is making me go up and get ready for bed. Looks like I need to get away from my computer and watch the rest of the game in the bedroom. Good night all of you Yankee haters! One last thing again: GO RED SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| SergeantPepperDG 20.10.2004 22:38 |
You know, I'd just like to say that I was rooting for the Yankees, just to see what people's reactions would be. Heh heh... |
| Under Pressure 20.10.2004 22:43 |
I'm going to go commit suicide if the bats don't start cracking. |
| Saint Jiub 21.10.2004 00:05 |
Yippee - the hated Yankees perform a historic choke. |
| The Real Wizard 21.10.2004 00:38 |
Amazing series... I have never been so absorbed into a baseball series since the Jays won in '93. |
| Megamike The GREAT 21.10.2004 00:41 |
BOSTON WINS!!!! Whoo hooo.. In your FACE you Yankees..... Eat Shit.. Woooo YEAH!!!!! |
| Penis - Vagina 21.10.2004 01:18 |
I'm in central time.. today the game was already on by 3 pm.. Judge Judy is usually 4-5 pm on the Fox station. Probably not the same game, but it was Fox Sports whatever. |
| The Real Wizard 21.10.2004 01:21 |
Whooooooooooooz your biological male guardian now? Ha! Screw you Yankee fans. |
| KillerQueen840 21.10.2004 06:48 |
Oh yes yes yes! GO Red Sox! Going to the world seiries! |
| Mr.Jingles 21.10.2004 08:42 |
Boston is coming closer to break the infamous 'Curse Of The Bambino'. And what better way than by beating all the odds and overcoming a 3-0 loss against the Yankees, and turn the page around for a 3-4 win. No team in baseball history has ever done it. GOOD LUCK AT THE WORLD SERIES, RED SOX!! |
| Penis - Vagina 21.10.2004 10:46 |
I've just never been much of an athletic supporter. |
| Krizzy 21.10.2004 10:55 |
To New Englanders the SOX are like religion to people here! To have make the World Series is beyond all our dreams! But the way they got there is even sweeter...NO MORE CURSE!!! RED SOX ALL THE WAY! BELIEVE! They are MY HEROS!!! LOVE EM! Kriz ;o) |
| Mr.Jingles 21.10.2004 12:47 |
I've been to New England three times, and I have grown very fond of it. I'd dare to say it might be the best place in the United States to live. Boston is a beautiful city. It has everything that any major metropolis has, but unlike New York you don't feel like everyday is a crazy rat race where rudeness and lack of politeness usually stand out. Here in NY people commute to their places with a shield on one hand and a sword on the other, ready to defend and attack whenever someone might seem to get on their way, regardless of whether they purpousely want to give their fellow citizens a hard time or not. I think that one day I might end up moving to Boston or any other place in New England one day, but only time will tell. |

Yes!!!! The Yankees are out!! :D GO RED SOX!!! |
| Under Pressure 21.10.2004 13:21 |
The curse wasn't about the ALCS, guys. It's all about the WS. And I don't think they can beat the Cardinals. I'm upset that the Yanks gave up so easily. After that great game on Saturday, they just ... died. 5 & 6 were reruns ... On the other hand, Tino is going to be free next year ... hopefully we'll take him back! |

Why not them? (I dont say us as I am a Giants fans, but as a Yankee hater, I root for the Red Sox) |

Just imagine all of the celebrating that will be going on here if the Red Sox win!!! Hopefully none of it being destructive like it was when the Patriots won. |

I'm in the UK, but hoping to move to Canada in a few years with my partner and baby daughter, so I subscrbed to NASN to see if I could adapt to baseball etc, and I have to say that the hockey world cup was excellent! Cheers! Klingonbear |
