Okey okey, this is the last topic made by me for a while. Please don't be angry 'bout me....What's the first edited song by Queen....A friend of mine says it's Liar but I keep it on "keep yourself Alive"....what did you think..... It's a Bet, when I win, I earned 100 Euro so let it know....
I think the first edited song would be Liar, for the U.S. in February 1974.
Keep Yourself Alive was originally released unedited in the USA October 1973 but re-released edited (actually it only faded out earlier) in July 1975. link
Common knowledge dictates that as a Queen song, Keep Yourself Alive was first. Although there are a number of other songs that were written before that, at least in empbryonic form. Liar, Stone Cold Crazy, Polar Bear, doin' Alright.
Clear as Mud? Thought so.
If it's for 100 euro, just go with yes.

The main point is what the first single released was as a track from the Queen album, not the first written.....Bon Appetit with your dinner polar bear;-)
Hi!
As I remember, the first "edited" vinyl was Liar, US edit, and the second one is Flick of the Wrist edited. The first published single is KYA, okay, and there are some other versions of it, but none if them is called "edited".
So if you say Liar is the first edited, you won 100 Öhros :)
I'd stick with keep yourself alive, after all, it was one of their hits.
I beleive in holland it was their first single too... but I should ask my dad to make sure...
I'll let you know when I've asked him.....
Good luck with your bet ;)
I feel that your title: "First song ever made by Queen" and your question - "What's the first edited song by Queen" - should match. Otherwise all you create is a state of confusion!
Nah, I like threads like this.. then people can choose which one they want to reply about ;)
That Liar edit is legendarily bad. I heard it and digitally recreated it, but try as I might I couldn't edit it as poorly as the original. Same with the Radio Ga Ga promo actually.
Keep Yourself Alive was their first song
Great King Rat was Freddie's first
Keep Yourself Alive was Brian's first
Modern Times Rock N' Roll was Roger's first
Misfire was John's first

I'm a little lost here... How do you define Queen exactly? Because before Deaky came, there had been a couple of bass players and one of the songs they made or sang was Polar Bear right?
