Is Freddie drunk? He is laughing and giggling all the time and acts very different from the 2nd night and other concerts. As seen on the dvd, Freddie gets some kind of laugh attack after his speech before AOBTD (the part where he covers his face with the towel).
The funniest part of that concert must be Freddie singing "She fucks me very crazy" instead of the right words on Tutti Frutti. Just look at Brian's face. Hilarious!
Yeah, I think he had too much beer... :)
That's why this gig was so good, IMO- Fred was really relaxed! Complete opposite to what happened at second night...

lol i love that bit! I wouldnt be surprised if he didnt put a few away before the show
He knew the concert wasnt going to be shown on TV either so he was safer i guess ;)
Yeah, the first night in its entirely, that would be nice :).
Notice that the first night has a far much better bass in it, compare it with the second night, the bass is so weak in 5.1 surround. Especially the bassguitar and drums are very weak, it's a pity really. I hope they have a better sound on the Milton Keynes DVD :).
Just watched it. Looks like Fred knew the next show would be released. Therefore, he did not mind ad-libbing too much. Notice how many fucks Fred says in just those 20 minutes ;). It's hilarious. Or starting Crazy little thing with: "This is for all you lovely faggots out there!"
They would never have this released... lol

That's actually one of the few things that annoy me about Freddie. Why did he start to swear and talk dirty on stage in 1977? I swear a lot myself, but I would not use that kind of language while performing a concert.
Maybe he wanted to look cool or something, I don't know.
I guess that's what it takes to be a real rock star...
I don't care, as long as it is not overdone. I had to laugh at the alternative lyrics to One Vision though.
Hehe, I've noticed that Freddie sometimes swore a bit much, maybe just because he could, or the drinking, or a nervous habit.. I find it charming though.. I was listening to the Mannheim '86 concert last night and during Under Pressure "Sat on a fence, but it didn't fucking work". I laughed :)
I always feel a bit cheated when Freddie finishes his DAYO DAYOs and says ALRIGHT, much better when he says F**K YOU.
I think swearings ok when used in certain circumstances but I hate hearing adults swear infront of children, though it seems to be the normal thing to do now for a lot of people.

When Freddie would swear he was probably showing us his stage persona. He didn’t really want to be taken seriously.
This seems a good enough topic to ask this in, since I'm lacking in knowledge of live Queen stuff..
Were there any Magic Tour performances of '...Break Free' where Freddie sang the whole thing rather than letting the audience take parts of it? And if so, where? :)
I was fortunate enough to go to both Wembley concerts and its true to say that Freddie's ad libs on the Friday were a lot more risky than the second! However the weather was bloody awful and the atmospere seemed a lot more muted than on the Saturday. It's just a great shame that Knebworth couldn't have been recorded in the same was as Wembley because that really was the best gig of the tour!
Was it at Milton Keynes '81 when Freddie was singing FBG and said 'Hey big woman, you made an asshole out of me'? I remember laughing at that for months! MONTHS!
I'm suprised Brian didn't swear at all..with all those peanuts being thrown at him.
*Deaky off stage throwing peanuts at Brian during LOML*
Brian: Right, that's it! *throws down guitar* Listen up fuck face, you fucking throw another fucking nut at me and I'll fuck you up!
Deaky: Bring it on, foo'!
Roger: Oh boys, you can both marry me!
Freddie: I'm hungry!
