Hi guys, i know this may sound as a *VERY* newbie question but, how do u like the drum logos from Queen? I mean, today (at least here in Brazil) i don't see many bands with these logos and i think they're so awsome (you know, like they're part of the identity of the band for that tour)...
And does anybody know why "The Face" drum logo in 79-81?? (Because IMO the other ones made sense...)

I saw the real NOTW drum logo at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of fame. I also saw one of John's bass' (ah! sp?) and a few of Freddie's outfits. Pretty cool. :)
The face logo was also the first cover of the WWRY live video. Then they released a cut price version with a montage of live pictures instead. But the first logo was classier.
Classier...There's a word we don't hear much these days...

Coming to think of it, it pretty much IS Roger's face, although I did not believe it myself. It seems to be from the same picture Roger used on the Fun in Space-cover...

Here's another drum logo i remembered: The white X on the "one Vision" video, at the studio... (hehehhe it's not even a drum logo, but i decided to post it, anyway)
Allright, for those who want to see 'The Face', go check out the 'Calling all Girls' video, it's there in too, you know! And yeah, it's definately Roger's face, no doubt about it. I also like the NOTW drum logo :-).

I don't have a clue what the picture represents but I think it looks very cool. According to Queenconcerts.com Roger used it during the entire Hot Space tour, but that's not true because at Milton Keynes it was still the face, and that was the last European tourdate already. Therefore I think he used it only in the US and Japan. You can see it in the Osaka '82 video, I believe that's where the above picture comes from.

I like this 'drum logo' things, because we can even see in what part of their tour they are for just looking at it.... for example, the red "Queen" on the magic tour!... link
