A lot of people I know say everytime They hear 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' that is was an Elvis song but I thought Freddie Wrote it |

Daburcor? 08.09.2004 10:59 |
Freddie wrote it. Those people are just ignorant. ;) |
MayFan 08.09.2004 10:59 |
That's true..Freddie wrote it for Elvis. That's how Freddie got his start in music...writing songs for other people. He originally wrote Bohemian Rhapsody for Barry Manilow, but Barry cut the song from his album at the last minute, and the rest is, as they say, history..... |
Mr Coolest Cat 08.09.2004 11:27 |
Elvis died 2 years before it was written, and Elvis couldn't write to save his life. |
MayFan 08.09.2004 11:38 |
Hence the reason he died at such an early age!! |
Daburcor? 08.09.2004 11:44 |
LOL! That's SO mean! |
Janet 08.09.2004 11:49 |
But man, could he eat a porkchop. ;-) |

Perhaps if people bought the disc - they could read such minor details. It's a pity that MP3 downloads do not provide such information! |
MexQueenFM 08.09.2004 12:24 |
Freddie wrote it while taking a bath |
Lord Blackadder 08.09.2004 12:44 |
MayFan are you being serious? I hope not! |
The Man On The Prowl 08.09.2004 15:04 |
I thought Freddie wrote it while shaving his beard! And I thought Elvis died because he used to eat fried squirrels... |

What happened was, Freddie and Elvis used to work together and they had a row so Freddie, in revenge, took the song and claimed it as his own. And then Elvis all up and died out of depression...... and cheeseburgers dipped in lard :-D |
brENsKi 08.09.2004 17:15 |
also amazing how one person can think CLTCL got released BEFORE spread your wings - which entered the chart in march 78.....but then everyone knows that elvis isn't dead yet....he's just sulking because freddie didn't write anymore songs for him |
MayFan 08.09.2004 18:01 |
Freddie, actually the whole band, wrote more songs for Elvis. "Fat Bottomed King", "Now I'm Here (in the Waffle House again)", "We Will Karate Chop You", "All Fed, All Fed", and "I Want To Break Wind". They were actually all on one album entitled, "The King Sings Queen". I think it charted pretty high on the Ukranian chart...like 5 or 6. Can anyone verify that for us?? |

Freddie wrote that song,in a toilet :-). Yes,maybe the rythm is similar to some rock'n'roll songs but CLTCL was made by Freddie,it's sure. ;-) *kiss* |

Everytime I listen to Crazy Little Thing Called Love with my mom, and everytime I tell her that Freddie wrote the song, she insists that Ricky Nelson wrote the song, and that Freddie was trying to impersonate Ricky. And eveytime I tell her , no, she says she's right and I'm wrong. I even went online and posted the lyrics, which said, lyrics written by Freddie Mercury, and showed them to her, she just walks away and doesn't talk for an hour. And she was a fan before me and actually went to some of their concerts, and STILL believes that Ricky Nelson wrote that song!!!! I get fed up when I try to explain it to her. And then she tosses in that Dwight Yokem(I know I must have spelled it wrong) and I just leave the room. It gets quite annoying. |

Ricky Nelson is an idiot. And he smells. After being dead for 19 years I would expect him to. |

Freddie wrote it in a hotel after a show taking a bath |

I find it ironic that a song written by a bisexual in a bath tub is covered by a country artist which thousands of cowboys in cowboy bars line dance too... I wonder what their reaction would...be...I imagine: "What are you talkin' about, Dwight Yokam wrote that song he ain't no queer." *spits tobacco* |
