Hello !
"Queen": A Visual Documentary
"Queen": Concert Documentary
Queen: The Definitive Biograph
The question is: are these books good?
Because i've bought them and i'll receive them soon.
Thanks. Bye
Seb
The Visual Documentary by Ken Dean is hard to get through. It's like a reporter wrote it after looking at the Queen catalogue for 10 minutes at a time.
Greg's book is really good, but there are some errors (I believe he wrote that both Hot Space and The Works were Queen's 13th albums?).
Dont read Laura Jacksons book- apparently its all bullshit.
I read Jims book Mercury and me. I thought it was lovely and made me cry alot. Showed the love between them.
Ive never read them dont really want too. I wouldnt read a book about queen unless freddie or the other members wrote it themselves cuz who the hell knows what people would write for money.
I know Brian was going to help Laura write the book about himself, but she would not wait for Brian to become available. Brian was a bit miffed about it, so he never gave the book any credibility.
I have got Queen: The Definitive Biography and i have found that it is good. there are a few things in there that i didnt know, laura jackson writes about freddies flamboyant lifestyle, brian mays emototional excesses, roger taylors sexual scandels and john deacons private life. I thought it was a good read,
