"I heard something about some new songs using old Freddie vocals, some song called Two Worlds Apart?!? "
Yeah, thats going to be a great song, maybe even a possible single release. It's a song from the Barcelona sessions. Montserrat never recorded vocals for it because Freddie wanted Guide me Home to be on the album, instead of this one.
"--What is it going to be called?
"The Show Goes On"
--Who writes what songs?
Brian wrote 5 songs so far, Roger wrote 4. They wrote 2 tracks together and there's also an unreleased Freddie-written track in there, for which Brian and Roger have completed the lyrics/music in Freddie's style. That makes 12 tracks in total, with a remix of the Freddie track being the most likely contender for a 1st single.
--Who replaces Deacy?
Brian/Roger/Steve Barnacle play bass throughout the album. Brian plays on the tracks he wrote, Roger on his tracks and Steve on the other tracks.
--Are the unheard Freddie songs written by Freddie?
It's just 1 Freddie track, but it was written by Freddie in 1987 while recording the Barcelona album. It was finished this spring by Brian and Roger.
--Will it be the last of Queen's unheard material?!
Nope, Brian and Roger have signed a contract with EMI for at least 2 albums to be released in the next 4 years."
How do you know all this? Only one Freddie-on-vocals track :'( ?
1. Any chance there will be a new Queen album?
---- I think there is a chance that we will see a new album in some form. If not with the Queen name at least Brian&Roger.
2. On how many songs are Brian & Roger working? (How many with Freddie on vocals?)
----I have heard that there is a Queen version of the great pretender. And I really hope they can re-record some Freddiesongs into Queen songs. There must be more to life than and in my defence could be REALLY good Queen songs. Instrumentally there is a lot to improve from the Freddie versions
3. Any chance John will be involved?
---I doubt it really. Would be a pleasent surprise.
4. Will the 46664 songs be included?
----NO! Really hope they wont
5. And when will the album be released?
----Within 3 years. They are getting older...
6. What's your opinion on the new album? (For example: Should they include remixes of previous album tracks?)
----Yeah, remixes of Freddietracks is good!
Another Roger (re) wrote: I have heard that there is a Queen version of the great pretender. And I really hope they can re-record some Freddiesongs into Queen songs. In my defence isn't written by Freddie, so I don't think they will remix it. A Queen remix of The Great Pretender would be great, but I rather see a Love Kills remix by Queen.
I think that they need to desperately tour first before doing a new album and tour. Especially in the U.S. where Brian said that they are practically going to have to start over here. I think they should spend 2006 touring the U.S. and world and then take a year off before going back to the studio to work as Queen. Frankly if Brian would do a new solo album after that and Roger toured for a hits compilation after that that would be best in my opinion perhaps then in 2008. Then in 2010 they could do a new album and tour and hopefully at that point. They will only be 63 at that point and there are many people who tour when they are really old. Besides the Rolling Stones there are also those such as B.B. King who do so as well. Also they could just do two new double live albums of them performing their hits and album highlights from the early and later years that have not been done much before. They could release the first one at the beginning of 2006 before the tour and the other later in that year. This way there will be some new projects to promote as well. As it is if they are going to release their catelog as double albums (I would think that would be best done in waves in 2006 during that reunion tour, five at a time during that year) PLUS these massive box sets (which I think the first should wait until 2010 after the catelog has been re-released for a few years) they are going to need to reignite as much interest Queen as possible...
...by the way. How did you find out that Queen have to release two new albums over the next four years? Does that mean anything (compilation, live album, rare songs or versions of them) or a specifically new albums? I find that a little hard to believe as it seems as least for the next year they are working on the musical.
Also I would like to say that I think perhaps the two or three of them should go out as themselves in terms of new studio material and THEN do whatever with old Freddie tracks as I think it would be best to have something reignite the public's interest with Queen even more further down the road whereas if they use the Freddie tracks now they won't have anything later on...

I don't think there's a Queen-version of TGP. It was a pure FM solo project, as far as I know. I may be wrong though.
Apart from that: don't let yourself be gotten that easily, folks.
