Whats your favorite song on the "made in heaven" album ?? mine is too much love will kill you....and mother love... does anybody else find it quite a hard and emotional album to have to listen to ?? It also gives me a happy feeling knowing he was doing what he wanted to do right up to the end......
I love the whole album. Even You Don't Fool me has grown on me. And although the final two tracks aren't the most interesting to listen to, it's nice to know that it was a send-off for Freddie.
Doesnt make me sad, Mother Love is a superb song. Its not the best album by a long shot, I think most fans thought they were gonna get ALL new vocals and not just a lot of re-working. I heard HFE on the Shove it LP. Give me Hot Space any day of the week.
Oh, I still Brought it on Cassette, CD and White LP though!!
*coughs* stepford
yes it was a good send off.....they had to release the album really....freddie would not of wanted to have spent painfull days recording vocals that were never going to be heard.
i think My life has been saved was recorded years earlier (someone will post soon to tell us exactly when)
Mother Love - a beautiful song and a winters Tale are my favourites.
The best song is IMO Let Me Live. I think also it's the best song in the Queen catalog : the symbol of the 3 singers, a lot of Queen trademarks, very emotional and with a superb solo. Great.
BTW, MIH is my favorite album, alongside with SHA.
The reworked IWBTLY is infectious!! And finally seeing a Queen video to support it was fantastic.
I also liked the IABD reprise. I always turn it up loud when Roger's drums kick in, and love the "heavenly" way Freddie sings, "Yeah..."!
Why don't play Queen (Roger and Brian) anything from this album live(except for TMLWKY but that's Brian's solo version), for example at the 46664 concert?
There are some great songs on the album to play live, i.e. IWBTLY and MIH...
If it's possible, I feel closest to Freddie, quite eerily so, during It's A Beautiful Day. I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! I suspect that, given 2 contrasting versions of that song on the same CD, that they are both there to paint the 2 very different sides of Freddie's personality, which we all (and his bandmates, especially, no doubt) miss dearly.
During IABD, I literally get chills all over my arms & neck along with a great big inexplicable grin on my face (chirping birds? come on! it's HILARIOUS!!!). I feel like I can open my eyes and see him there grinning back at me from the piano, and for that, I feel there's no other song like it. Undeniably a masterpiece. I'd even go so far as to say they'd never have released a "swansong" CD like MIH without that track. That's the one that's indispensible on MIH, in my opinion. Thank god & the other regal three for it.
the whole album is emotional & maginificent ,of course with painful & crying lyrics and melody.
I love this album very much and every time I listen to this ,my eyes became wet.
Winter Tale ,Too much love will kill you, Let me live ,I was born to love you are great and lovely.
