Is there ANY way in which we can lose the crap-topics like "Is Mary Austin sexy?", "Is Jim Beach sexy?", "Best Roger song" etc by newbies/people who are just lame? Queenzone is becoming more and more like QOL in my opinion and I don't think many people who've been here for some time like that.... |
Saint Jiub 03.07.2004 10:17 |
This place needs more censorship. Can we hire John Ashcroft as a moderator? |

Erin 08.07.2004 11:36 |
Seems kinda "lame" to be so worked up over the posts on a notice board..;-) Y'all complain about that and not charles baer? Whoa.. |

Hey all, i am a newbie, but i have visited and had an email address from Queenzone since it came out, but i agree, please keep the stupid questions to yourself!? KYA |
Roy ® 25.07.2004 18:00 |
I am also a "newbie" at Queenzone. But i agree with Pim. If you want to know anything, ask it but nothing stupid like Pim says. |
♥Killer_Queen1946♥ 30.07.2004 14:19 |
Um, who's Charles Baer? sorry if i offended someone by not knowing...but i really dont know. ta-ta |
the oppositionist 30.07.2004 15:24 |
But when you are new, you dont know what people consider stupid. This isnt like court of law you know! some freedom of speech... |

You can just not reply or not read these posts. It's really just that easy. |

MayFan 05.09.2004 21:22 |
...so what topics are of credibility then?? I kinda like getting ppls opinion about thier fav this or that, as long as it pertains to Queen and like music |
Pim Derks 05.09.2004 21:40 |
"I kinda like getting ppls opinion about thier fav this or that, as long as it pertains to Queen and like music" Topics like that are stuff people at QOL talk about. Here we try/tried to have some deeper discussion, without people asking "Where can I download March of the Black Queen?" when we're talking about Queen II or something... |
Saint Jiub 05.09.2004 22:19 |
This is why Pim should be a moderator at Queen Online: He could censor the newbies to his heart's content, decide what topics are appropriate, and be as arrogant as he wants to be. He could be a mini-Ming. |
Wouter 06.09.2004 13:14 |
on a forum where I used to come, we had the same problem. The solution was quite simple: get rid of all the statusses. |
Pim Derks 06.09.2004 13:28 |
I think no-one trashes people BECAUSE they are newbies/bohemians or whatever. I think people trash them because they post stupid stuff - I know I do. If someone who's been here for 4 years starts posting all kinds of crappy topics like "Is it strange if I masturbate while watching IWTBF" I would post something incredibely rude anyway, even though he's been here for a long time :) |
Wouter 06.09.2004 17:24 |
But still...the number of posts can give an indication as well. The status is an object in itself for some people, they want to reach a higher status, and therefore start posting. Anyway, it didn't bother me then, and it won't bother me now, it's just a bit tiring when people start flaming because of someone's (assumed) status. |

LOL! Yes...but I'm alot closer to 50 than you are, so maybe I'm hoping a little harder! ;-D |
MayFan 08.09.2004 10:08 |
Oh I doubt that....or that's not your real picture you have posted... |
Janet 08.09.2004 10:23 |
Yes its my picture, and I am 43. :-) |
MayFan 08.09.2004 10:33 |
Ok then......well you don't look 43 in that pic and your not that far ahead of me...I'm 37. I stay young by playing rock n roll and marrying a beautiful woman 6 years younger than me. What's your secret?? |
MayFan 08.09.2004 10:35 |

Janet 08.09.2004 10:40 |
It sounded bad??? LOL! :-D |
MayFan 08.09.2004 10:43 |
You didn't think so?!?!? Made me sound like I married my wife because she was younger, not because I love her..doh! |
Janet 08.09.2004 10:45 |
I understood what you meant. :-) I'll be married 20 years this month...and I am 5 years younger than my husband. |
MayFan 08.09.2004 10:48 |
20 years?!?! Good for you! We are coming up on our 1st anniversary this month. But hey, better late than never! |

Hi, I remeber laughing and saying Lennon’s ’Never trust anybody over 30’. It seems not so long for me. And just now I’ve found I’m almost 40 (well, fresh 39). So, maybe I could join you here :-) Have a fine day. |
MayFan 08.09.2004 17:49 |
Sure! We'll start an "over 35 Queen Fan club"!! What the hell! =) |
Libor2 08.09.2004 18:32 |
Certainly. It’s always good to know we are not alone among all those kids here :-) |
MayFan 08.09.2004 19:36 |
Nah...there's more than a couple of us I'm sure. Most probably won't admit their age because they're trying to pick up girls or something. Me? I don't care. I'm as young as I feel....and half the time that's 86!! Anyways, these kids need us old farts to set them straight on what it was like when rock n roll ruled! |
MayFan 08.09.2004 19:39 |
HEY! How the hell did my last post end up at the top??? This place is screwed up sometimes! I DON'T UNDERSTAND?!?!?! |
Libor2 08.09.2004 19:54 |
I can see it in right order. But, in fact, I saw such behaviour of this forum one time a few days before. Maybe it’s overloaded or it could have to do something with slow connection. If I remember right I’ve downloaded some bittorent at that time and connection was thus very slow. Maybe it could be that. But it’s only ’maybe’. |
MayFan 08.09.2004 19:57 |
nope...your post is right under mine at the top wierd and so is this one |
Libor2 08.09.2004 19:57 |
Well, wait, now I see it also. And my reply is second from top. Strange. |
MayFan 08.09.2004 20:02 |
Maybe it's putting them in order of importance. Sorry Janet! lol =) |
MayFan 08.09.2004 20:02 |
Oh now it puts me at the bottom!!! =P |
Libor2 08.09.2004 20:07 |
Hmm, anyway, despite to order of messages here - you’re right that everybody is as old as he feels (I use to say sometimes, that I’m only one year younger than black coal <BIG GRIN>). Well, being here with you. I haven’t got any problem with my age (or anybody age). No need to :-) Cheers. |
Libor2 08.09.2004 20:12 |
We’d probably start a new thread somewhere out of here. Probably it’d be better in personal section. But I think it won’t be today as I’d go sleep. It’s 2 am here and I’d go work morning. Don’t wanna sleep in front of my comp :-)) Have a fine day (or night) all here. |
MayFan 08.09.2004 20:13 |
Libor2...dude you have some very cool bands listed in your favs...ever hear of a band called Spock's Beard?? |
Libor2 09.09.2004 04:44 |
MayFan, I know Spock’s Beard, but unfortunately very little. Only a few songs. Haven’t got anything home. Think my brother has some Spock’s Beard Greatest or something... Maybe I should try to listen. As I found we listen a lot of same bands (even Rainbow you’ve written I like too [and Whitesnake, of course]). Seems we have very good taste <G>. |
MayFan 09.09.2004 11:57 |
I'm not aware of a greatest hits for Spock's Beard. If you are interested in them, I recommend their CD "Day For Night" or "Snow". ....Whitesnake is very cool too! |
Libor2 09.09.2004 19:13 |
Thanks for info about Spock’s Beard. I’ll try to look at it. I’m always open to a new horizons. I usually think to myself it’s not good to listen only to all those band from 70’s I use listen to. And that’s why I try sometimes to find some new music I don’t know. Some years ago I found this way Symphony X and Dream Theater. It seems promising with SB (I looked over net for them). BTW, I surely was mistaken about I’d knew them. It should be some other band with maybe similar name or so. After I’ve found some info about them I’m almost positive I didn’t heard nothing from SB and I know only name of the band (maybe from some magazine). |
MayFan 09.09.2004 19:55 |
They are very much like Dream Theater on the progressive side but not quite as heavy. More like Kansas and Yes. I really dig them.... |
danielbuzz69 15.09.2004 19:25 |
Pim is quite correct. There is far too much childish crap being posted in here. Then again Music man is quite correct when he says you don't have to read or respond to these posts |
