Not unlikely ! |

Quite nice content. Unlikely to happen though, I think. I doubt there'll be a GVH3 - More likely a box with GVH1 (disc 1), GVH2 (disc 1) and a bonusdisc with the Innuendo and later clips on it, so that they can cash in even more.... But we can always hope :-) |

I reckon that could really be the case. I think maybe the last disc might be the one they squeeze on as much irrelevent stuff as poss (ie the last word freddie ever said, the behind the scenes footage etc) Maybe they will do what Prim said but theyll release this dvd then theyll do a lord of the rings and release a box set! then the cash will come rolling in! |

Do you two always look on the dark side of life? Everytime there's a positive word said about a release etc., one of you pops up and trashes it. Why? Just wondering cause I just find it a bit like a defeatist's attitude. Peace, Adam. |

"Do you two always look on the dark side of life? Everytime there's a positive word said about a release etc., one of you pops up and trashes it. Why?" Maybe because after all these years of promises we know how QP works? Anyone remembers the 6 live-videos to be released in 2000? The BBC-set in 1996? The Brian 1998 AW Tour video? They only release stuff which is interesting to the majority - and a DVD with clips like "A Winter's Tale", "AOBTD'98" and "NOBY(OTGDY)" just doesn't appeal to people like a DVD-set with BoRhap, RGG, IWIA and TSMGO. |

i'm sure there will be a decent GVH 3 release... and not a bonus disc... if you look carefully at the spine of GVH 1 and 2, the 1 and 2 stand out. all we need is a GVH 3 to finish the collection. its a lot like the Star wars trilogy. |

I would be a great DVD |

Mention what possible Easter egg to be included and you've got a winner!! |

Up, Up, Down, Right, Down, Left, Left when you enter that very quickly with your remote you will hear Freddie's very last fart property of Peter Freestone |

No offence; but that DVD would suck if it would be like that. I'm refering to the 1 disc, all those songs performed by others would just be a waste of valuable space me thinks :x. |

Freddie's last word was "pee-pee"... it says so in the Jim Hutton book thing. |

Pim - How did you render Adam speechless? |

"Anyone remembers the 6 live-videos to be released in 2000?" Yup. But it was actually three that they planned on. But did it really annoy you that they didn't get round to it asap? Fact is, we've been getting great new dvd releases. I believe everyone here actually loved the Wembley86 dvd, even though it was a re-release. The GVHits dvds, while controversial, have been great for the content. And we're getting Milton Keynes in FULL, soon!! I think it's pretty obvious that they're on the right track these days. "The BBC-set in 1996? The Brian 1998 AW Tour video?" Huh? First I've heard about the latter. And last I heard about the BBC tracks, they were being kept for the Boxsets. "They only release stuff which is interesting to the majority - and a DVD with clips like "A Winter's Tale", "AOBTD'98" and "NOBY(OTGDY)" just doesn't appeal to people like a DVD-set with BoRhap, RGG, IWIA and TSMGO." Er...duh. That's proper business sense. Would you spend thousands developing a rare video release of Queen? Even if you knew that it'd make bugger-all back for the company? I know I wouldn't. It's common sense that you don't put money on something unless it's going to do at least reasonably well. I think it's unfair to criticise them for thinking that way. That's just the way things work. That's what baffles me about your comments. I naturally don't care what I don't get from them. I'm just happy to get something! They could've gone away like John and just done very little (if anything) and then you'd really have something that pissed you off! And as far as I'm concerned they're working towards things. I don't really care how long it takes. Does it bother you that much? Peace, Adam. |

"I think it's unfair to criticise them for thinking that way. That's just the way things work." How much money do they need? What about repaying the fans with something rarer than a re-release of a Greatest Hits album? That's a rhetorical question btw, I know what the answer is... |

Isn't the MK dvd showing that they are giving more fan wanted items? I've often read that people want the full video/audio of the show. And now they're going to make it happen. Peace, Adam. |

Milton Keynes will be the first full length item of mostly previously unreleased material which is predominently Queen music that will be released this milennium. |

It's not just Brian and Roger who have to make the decisions. There's also Jim Beach, and the various companies involved in producing the product. These are the elements in the decision who would base it on monetary terms. i'm sure brian and roger enjoy the money which comes, but do feel that they don't "need it" but are wise enough to realise that these things need to be commericially viable in order to get them done properly. and we all know that Brian likes things to be done properly. |

That's an important point. They do have a contract with a record company after all. Even if there's the will (which I'm not so sure about) to release stuff that is especially aimed at treating the fans, the record company has to be willing to release it. |
Roger's Beard 30.06.2004 17:42 |
Well this is likely to be the last of the greatest hits releases, so hopefully it will be crammed full of extras that we aren't likely to get anywhere else apart from the box set thingies that have been rumoured for over a decade now... Ideally, it would be great to have all of Brian's, Roger's and the Cross promo videos in this set as they're not likely to come out any other way. |
