Okay, it's almost three months away and I'm wondering: who's going, who's thinking of going and who's not?
This will be a VERY important event in the US, the biggest since Queen toured. I tend to think of Brian and Roger becoming global millionaires because of this musical, Freddie's estate bulging at the purse strings, and John Deacon hopefully getting a few pounds' royalties out of it (and maybe, just maybe it may lure him out of his premature retirement...we can hope it does!). I'm really proud of Brian and Roger's efforts in keeping the Queen name alive and in the public's consciousness. The Coke commercial next month will make three commercials with Queen music, and with the musical's premiere will mean more Queen fans will be born -- thus making Queen a new force to be reckoned with and also show some contemporary performers the meaning of "staying power"!
I'm so looking forward to September! :-)
I'm going! Bought the tickets yesterday. We got the Bohemian Rhapsody package, which gurantees seats in the first four rows. I can't wait! I wanted to go for the premiere, but the hotel was booked, so I'm going the week after.
I am really excited about going. I love Vegas anyway and to put Queen and Vegas together is even better. I am also excited about meeting some other Queenzoners.
I found and got a great deal on Travelocity.com -- 3 days (hotel + airfare) from my area of the country (Nashville, TN) for a scant $251!! Today's the last day of that sale also!!
for the Paris Hotel Lisa? What dates? I was going to try and go when the rest of the Breakthru people go. That hasn't been announced yet I don't think.
$251 is cheap!! way to go! I fly for free so I'll just be looking for hotel availability.
I'll be at the Palace! Seriously!
Here's the deal for the Paris hotel -- pretty pricey...
