Is anyone watching this? Oh its FAB! link Can't wait till the Frankie Goes To Hollywood episode! |
Penis - Vagina 20.01.2004 22:00 |
Yeah, it's a cool show. Rather emotional too. I've been reduced to tears during the first two episodes. |
Saffron Caribou 20.01.2004 22:02 |
I cried like a Japanese fan girl during the Romeo Void show, when the sax player said to the group that he cannot join them on stage. WAAAAAAA |

Flock of Seagulls episode will air today at 11am/4pm/10pm. Can't wait to see those old fogies! Will they still manage to do "the seagull do" or perhaps the lack of it? |
Saffron Caribou 21.01.2004 22:20 |
I saw today's ep. of Bands Reunited with "A Flock of Seagulls". WOW! I didn't know the real strain between the Score bros., and about the guitarist, Paul Reynold's, nervous breakdown. However, what a GREAT show. It seems that the Score bros. patched things up, and performed excellently! BTW, the bass player, Frank, is a HILARIOUS man! I'd love to hang out with him! LOL |
Penis - Vagina 21.01.2004 23:46 |
Another great episode! I'm loving it :) This time I didn't cry at the band reuniting, I cried when I heard 'Spaceage Love Song' cuz it brought back memories. I miss that 80s new-wave sound. All those songs from John Hughes movies, LOL I thought the band sounded fantastic.. but the singer's voice isn't what it used to be. Kinda ironic since he's the one using the name now. |
iron eagle 22.01.2004 11:41 |
saw the FOS episode last night- first chance i have had to see this program not bad agree that voice of his sure changed a bit :) |
Saffron Caribou 22.01.2004 23:53 |
I agree Mike Score was a bit flat on vocals, but the show still rocked. Tonight's ep was Klymaxx, the R&B band from the 80's, really intense ep to be honest. You can tell that this bands has MAJOR legal problems because their guitarist is touring with the new Klymaxx and there are bad legal disputes over the name. Alas, the guitarist didnt reunite with the rest of the group. Stil the remaining members were fab! It was an ugly ep, but interesting. Now, tomorrow's ep is the one I have been waiting to see. Frankie Goes to Hollywoood! Wooooweee! Saw the clips! MMMMM Some old vintage footage of the lead singer and second singer in LEATHERMEN outfits! WooooWeeee Bless those Leathermen! |
Penis - Vagina 23.01.2004 16:16 |
I loved the Klymaxx show. Lots of drama! The Frankie show was very fun, until the end. I don't wanna spoil it for anyone but damn :( I'm glad Holly seems to be doing okay for now though. I would have sworn that I heard he was very sick. |
Saffron Caribou 23.01.2004 23:08 |
Thank goodness I read this post now Deacon Fan. Otherwise I would be huffed :P Wow, I saw the ep of FGTH. I was so psyched about this ep all week. I was kind of saddened that they didn't perform. However, I was so happy to see the guys again, esp Holly and Paul. Holly looks great despise his illness. Paul still looks HOT as usual. Ya know when I was a kid I used to confuse that guy with Freddie. They looked alike. LOL It was the 'tasche! ;) At first I was really convinced that they werent going to reunite. Then when they reunited I really had my hopes up that they will perform, oh well :( Well we didnt get the performance, well the 2004 one, but I was floored with the 82 Liverpool audition footage. OMFG! Leathermen GALORE! Yummy! Hey anything that shows buttcheeks on telly is OKAY by me! |
iron eagle 24.01.2004 12:09 |
i missed it last night-- it was interrupted to a trip to the waffle house after work....came home and settled for Babylon5 season 1 dvd since it was not being replayed have had a good time watching the two i have so far.... really thought there would be a cat fight with Klymaxx.... now unfortunately i keep having i miss you in my head... then i say no gay boy...you must have..the men all pause in your head instead :) agh vie life goes on |
Penis - Vagina 26.01.2004 17:08 |
hehe, Men All Pause has so many meanings. I never made the connection with 'menopause' but I thought it was like 'men are all paws' like they can't keep their hands off the ladies.. but enough about me.. Just watched the Kajagoogoo show. Educational, but not extremely exciting. The guys all seemed nice and didn't seem to have a problem getting back together. I was surprised to learn the reason for Limahl leaving.. I assumed it was the other way around :) I loved Limahl saying how he had to look up his own lyrics on the internet before the gig. LMAO |
Saffron Caribou 26.01.2004 17:12 |
Hey I finished watching the Kajagoogoo ep. It was kinda emotional really. It was more of a Limahl reunited with the band, rather than the band reunited. Awwww when he cried at the end. Got me teary too. I hope they patched things up :) BTW, you should see the VH1 message board for Bands Reunited. People are still pissed about Holly's decline to perform. Sheesh. Someone even posted his emal for god's sakes. |
Daburcor? 26.01.2004 17:24 |
Did I miss the episode with Extreme? |
CatGurl14 26.01.2004 17:31 |
That episode is tomorrow Dan. :) |
MexQueenFM 26.01.2004 17:32 |
did Queen appear yet? when's the episode? |
Penis - Vagina 26.01.2004 17:34 |
No, Extreme is yet to come.. however it sounds like it's only going to be a 30 minute show, same with Squeeze. I won't say why, but if you check out those message boards people have figured it out. While it's obviously a disappointment about Holly, I have to say... leave the guy alone and get over it people! This sorta goes to the whole idea of press and fans DEMANDING things of artists, like they owe us all something. Brian has spoken about this sort of thing. I can't blame the guy for wanting more rehearsal time, after all these years suddlenly he's confronted with a reunion, is a good sport and shows up for that, but he has every right to decline performing. |
wstüssyb 26.01.2004 21:13 |
seen like 4 episodes...some of these bands I never heard of before extreme will be good...never knew why they called it quits. they should do a White Lion. |
Saffron Caribou 26.01.2004 21:54 |
Deacon Fan you have a very valid point. Although I too was a wee bit pissed at Holly's decision I truly respect it. I posted on the VH1 forum that the reasons for him backing off the project might be because of his health, he has HIV. But I was blasted with replies of pure anger lol I said PERHAPS it wasnt that it was true! LOL Errrr Extreme. Well all I can say is DONT peek around the VH1 message boards, some people had written spoilers about the comming shows. |
Saffron Caribou 26.01.2004 23:01 |
Ooooooooh just saw the premier of the Extreme eppie. ooooooooh it looks GOOD! LOL I think I saw some backstage footage from the Freddie Tribute I think BTW about the Kajagoogoo eppie if VH1 would put out a DVD to see the bass player's bum! Wooo ;) :P |
mrs_groucho 26.01.2004 23:11 |
I just watched Kajagoogoo get reunited. I still don't know if I like them or not... Too Shy Shy...Hush Hush blah blah blah...*takes a shot* Love and kajagoogoo, Mrs. G |
Megamike The GREAT 27.01.2004 11:26 |
I am watching the Extreme show now and they are showing a LOT of footage of Extreme at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert.. it's as if that was their only REAL performance.. :) |
Saffron Caribou 27.01.2004 18:29 |
I saw the Extreme one, very predictable. Very disappointing, but I wish if Nuno faced to the camera. Yeah Mike, my sis and I noticed the Freddie tribute footage. LOL |
deleted user 27.01.2004 20:41 |
Nuno. *grumble* *grumble* I haven't even seen it yet and I'm mad. |
Daburcor? 27.01.2004 21:34 |
Damn... I missed it. |
Saffron Caribou 27.01.2004 21:37 |
Well you can see it at 10pm. Its worth watching really to form your opinion about what happened. |
Saffron Caribou 27.01.2004 22:29 |
Something that I found on VH1 the Squeeze reunion is only 30 mins as well, like the Extreme ep. Errrr perhaps it will be another disappointment. I'm waiting for The Alarm reunion on Friday :) |
Penis - Vagina 28.01.2004 15:28 |
I'm completely baffled by this "Dramarama" thing. There's not a top 40 hit from the 80s that I've not heard of, nor a band. Yet I have NEVER heard of these songs nor this band. |
mrs_groucho 28.01.2004 15:32 |
I keep missing the Flock Of Seagulls one and it's starting to piss me off! grrr! Love and couldn't get away, Mrs. G |
Saffron Caribou 28.01.2004 19:33 |
I saw part of the Dramarama reunion. I have to say that I too havent heard of this band. Still it was an interesting story, the rock n roll lifestyle destroying a group. |
Saffron Caribou 28.01.2004 19:37 |
Check the Vh1 website for the next airing of A Flock of Seagulls reunion. I want to tape it. That ep was cleary was best ep yet. |
iron eagle 30.01.2004 22:37 |
i remember hearing one of dramarama's songs on the radio a couple times but never knew the band name until now.. |
Saffron Caribou 02.02.2004 16:10 |
I saw The Alarm ep on Thursday. Wow, they were FAB! Such great energy at the club, people dancing, and singing. I have the tune 68 guns constantly in my head. lol I was disappointed with the Squeeze reunion though, not only they didnt bother to reunite, but they missed one member. I dont remember his name, but he originally sanf "Tempted". |
Penis - Vagina 02.02.2004 19:15 |
Paul Carrack :) That guy sure got around. In addition to his days with 'Ace' and his solo career, he also sang with 'Mike + The Mechanics' a bit but again in that case, wasn't really a permanent member. I wasn't really into The Alarm show. The Squeeze one sure looked promising until the end. Hopefully the show was popular enough and we'll get some new episodes sometime. |
