I went to a Stereophonics gig at Earl's Court last night and was thrilled beyond all manner of things that in between the support act and the Phonics they played Queen's- Breakthru - not my favourite song but it made my night was worht it just for that!
I once went to a pub, and guess what?
They also played Queen!!!!
Now can you believe that, that this music is really playen in public places.......
Who gives a f@ck!
I have a question...
How shite were the Stereophonics if the highlight was one song off the tape they played while the roadies were setting up?
Kelly Jones, hang your head in shame
I can pick up the tiniest bit of sarcasm in these comments, I was merely expressing my delight that they didn't play Barry White (which incidentally is what they played the night before!!)...Kelly is now getting good at the guitar he now knows two chords, and he is still (i'm happy to report) 2 inches tall from wherever you sit in Earls Court!!
Fact: I do need more sleep indeed, how could you tell? :D
Opinion: It's not really THAT interesting that they play a Queen song. Would have been more enjoyable to read if the band would play this song. Especially since it is not the most covered Queen song by other bands.
I can't deny that is a very good point, and of course I have to agree!I was merely overjoyed to hear such a great piece of music and a great concert!!!
Stereophonics are so overrated. One song Handbags and Gladrags was only a massive song because a comedy series. Have a Nice day is awful. Mr Writer is quite good and The Bartender and The Thief and Just Looking. Oh so maybe I like them then erm ho-ho.
Their well known stuff is a bit shite but their first two albums are very good!! When it comes to Handbags and gladrags and have a nice day I just sit down and have a rest while everyone else sings their little hearts out...each to their own!!
