I was in the Dominion on November 15th and made some pictures of Brian on stage. The first set is on my site, perhaps more will follow. During my three day visit I have seen the musical three times and despite what people here who don't want to see or hear anything about the WWRY musical (except for the pictures I guess) might say: IT BLOWS YOUR MIND! Even after seeing the show 10 times, like I did. The show of saturday evening (Tony's last performance) was one of the best. The audience went wild and the cast played and sang at their best. Brian May was in the audience during the first part of the show and gave Kerry Ellis a standing ovation after she had sung No-one but you. At the end of the show he and Ben Elton came on stage and had some nice words for Tony. Before and after the show we met and spoke with Brian, Roger, Tony, Ben Elton and more from the cast. Roger appeared at the afterparty that was held in a restaurant just at the back of the Dominion, where we were waiting. Ben Elton had mentioned that Roger would come to have a drink afterwards. Roger arrived (at first almost unnoticed) sitting in the back of one of those bicycle-vehicles in which people can be driven around in Londen. It was so funny to see him arrive in that way. He signed my GVH2-DVD (with the special slipcase) that was already signed by Brian. It was just great again.
Wow, Rien!!! My DVD has no slipcase, what a shame. :)
I'm going to refer to you from now on as "that lucky netherlandese friend of mine" :)
Cheers,
Ogre-
I agree, the show is amazing, and was really great on Saturday (and sad!). The atmosphere in the theatre was amazing. OMG I saw those bike things but didn't really take any notice of who was in them. Dammit! I could've seen Roger!!
"STALKER! =-)"
LOL
Oh... that's so cool you had a good time and got to see them all.
I'm jealous! ;-)
I saw WWRY twice last year and I think Tony was amazing!!! I couldn't think of anyone who could do it better than him.
I'm sad that he left as I am going to London again in January. And of course going to see WWRY for the 3rd time.
But then again, I'm excited and curious to see the changes and the new Galileo Figaro.
Shagaleo Gigolo, more like.
I think I've said this a few time already, but I just loved the musical! Lucky all you, who have seen it many times and are able to go and see it so often.
