Hello QZ Family!
NUMBER 22
The Queen Vinyl Collection here in Italy was a great opportunity to collect all the albums (studio, live and compilations) of our favourite group.
Every release has an exclusive booklet compiled by Greg Brooks with a small story of the record and a lot of photos (some of them different from the original shots).
So i decided to scan the booklet and share it with all of you.
PDF file 28cm x 28cm with 300dpi pics.
Obviously is an amateur work so i hope you like it.
This time: The Hero... FLASH GORDON
Next: A NIGHT AT THE ODEON
PS: Every pdf is "open" , no password, so anyone could use it or upgrade it... it's an open project for me so feel free to upgrade it or tell me what's wrong ;)
Thanks a lot!
Does anyone noticed, that most of the shots from photo sessins which were used for artwork or various promotional items at the time, now doesn't available in high quality. Alternate shots (not the best ones) now used almost everytime. Bohemian Rhapsody single, Save Me single, The Game album, this japanese 1981 photo session and a lot of others.
It seems almost all the best ones now not in Queen archive and lost somewhere.
The Game album picture was lost. Brian mentioned it back in 2004 and Richard Gray had a clever idea, so the re-release of the album had the original cover. While the 90s reissue had alternative.
They also used the original photo of Greatest hits.
Maybe some photos or items are lost or can't be used anymore.
Is there a detailed inforation about 'clever idea' from Richard Gray about original The Game shot?
Yes, they still have the Radio Ga Ga single and Greatest Hits photos.
Brian wrote me extensively back in 2004 (soapbox) when Toshiba EMI re released for 2nd time the mini vinyl cd series. Brian was happy about the reproduction especially for The Game. He said with many details that how Richard took a picture from an original album and he gave back the "original"photo for the album cover.
Thanks for all these booklets! I also look mostly for pictures here, especially to find something rare, like the photo from the QII booklet taken during Seven Seas of Rhye in Rainbow march show.
