Hi all, first post on here, excellent forum by the way :) I was reading something on Reddit the other day which mentioned a fabled 1989 demo recording of innuendo, complete with a now dead YouTube link, I've found a shirt clip on YouTube but it's not all that audible, plus there's talking over a lot of it, does such a thing as a better quality full demo track exist? As I would absolutely love to hear it if one survives.
Not really. It was played on a convention by David Richards, and the only available recording (at least to us) is the one which was recorded by a person there (that's why you hear people talking)
^i certainly farking HOPE they revisit INNUENDO by then! ...It's a critical album and it's promotional videos have long been out of print and it's never gotten a proper 5.1 treatment or such.
David Richards is now gone as well, to possibly look over a new mix.
stevelondon20 totally agree. The Miracle was great in places, but Innuendo is a majestic album in my opinion.Considering the frail state of Freddie at the time of recording, his vocals are amazing. In the absence of an anthology in my lifetime,I feel a proper treatment of this album, would be amazing.Another thought, totally off topic, but maybe Brian And Roger, still find it hard going over their studio material,to fully commit to an Anthology
seriously, this is the kind of things we hear, that should be part of an anthology.
Does Universal know that there is a real demand for that?
I'm sure that the archivist would also love to make an anthology, but it should be well done and also probably there is no official green light... I'm sure this is the kind of mega-project that takes a long time.
Maybe it's like the Sagrada Familia, we'll have to wait and our grand grand children will finally hear it in 100 years.

Like any tool, it can be used for good or bad.
And if something is used so far and wide, it'd be foolish to entirely dismiss it because some people are idiots.

I'm sure they could find some time to devote a portion of their hours to putting together an Innuendo package.
