Hey everyone! Just curious what your favorite Queen memorabilia are? Is it a Freddie t-shirt or a Queen poster or a live concert ticket? When and where did you get it? Is there a story behind it? It would be interesting to see what was sold back in the 70s up until today. Please feel free to share your treasures. And post photos if you have any! Xoxo |

Made In Heaven original black vinyl lp. Just because of the luck I had finding it and the fun I had on that Queen day in The Netherlands when I was about 16. |
HelloDelilah 19.08.2019 20:39 |
Stick, do you still have it? Might be worth something. I would want to keep it though. A lot of things seem to be going back to old school like vinyl records, Polaroid camera, typewriters, etc like it’s a novelty. |
Stick 19.08.2019 22:05 |
Oh yeah I still got it. Value rises every year but I dont want to part with it because its very rare. I don't remember how many were made but they are rarely for sale anywhere. Also have a mint copy of John Deacons only solo single and some other stuff I treasure regarding vinyl and cds. And have a huge flag with Freddie at Knebworth on it. |

So. ... The original pressing is something unusual? I seem to have lost the site that lists all categories of releases. Me?...nothing super special, I stopped collecting a long time ago when HOLLYWOOD RECORDS wouldn't release the FM SOLO COLLECTION in full. Then most subsequent releases weren't much. Favorite things would be simply my INNUENDO tapestry and my BARCELONA l.p. release poster, which i hope is safe - as it's been tucked in storage for the longest time |
Stick 20.08.2019 14:11 |
Yeah the original black vinyl version of MIH was pretty limited i've been told. Kes on Queenline is quite the knowledge guru on this stuff. Apparently the idea was to make the white vinyl the limited one but somehow the opposite happened. |
Michael Scapp 20.08.2019 16:04 |
I like the record store displays, like the album mobiles that hand from the ceilings. Mostly, that stuff came from Elektra |
ianlasseter 20.08.2019 20:29 |
I have several collectible items, ranging from original Japanese 7"pressings of Keep Yourself Alive And Seven Seas Of Rhye. All the albums on White Label pressings, but I think my most valuable item must be a set of acetates from the Sheer Heart Attack era. These all came in original orange Trident sleeves.I won these in a sealed auction back in 1988.They are as follows:-Killer Queen/Flick Of The Wrist 12" acetate,Sheer Heart Attack Side 1 and Side 2 on 2 acetates, and another copy of side 1.The Killer Queen one was the most puzzling as it had Gash Acetate JD handwritten on the cover. Was it supposed to be pressed for John Deacon ?.As for values,I really hav'nt a clue how much they are worth, though it would be interesting to fing out though. |
tempusfugit 20.08.2019 22:20 |
I saw Queen at Newcastle in 1975,possibly my favourite live show. Imagine my surprise when a week later a friend gave me a tape of the show.low quality but what a memento.Quite funny to hear 2,500 geordies singing along to the opera section opening. Lost it in my first divorce......I really miss that tape.... |
k-m 20.08.2019 23:30 |
Well, not much to boast about here for me. Possibly the biggest sentimental value would be the "Let Me Live" single as it was the first single I ever bought and the original "GH3" since it contains a nice booklet and a different CD case from later pressings, lol. But that's about it, not really into the whole collecting business. |

I also enjoy my "criminal urge to twist and shout" Though I'm not certain that's a product. I've got a NECA or MECA thing of a giant Freddie Mercury that supposedly plays radio gaga. Also some tin vehicles. ...die cast stuff. One is a bit large with NOTW iconography on it and the other is like a hot wheels van with ANATO crest on it. The plastic apparently got old where i had it and the glue yellowed a bit though it's unopened. Imagine the trash i bought for this band. Geez |
HelloDelilah 21.08.2019 05:33 |
matt z, yeah, plastic deteriorates over time. For your poster, you may want to make sure it's in a cool, dry location. Back then, they didn't make acid-free stuff and it also may be brittle. Your tapestry sounds cool. Is it like a piece of fabric with print? tempusfugit, sorry to hear about your losing that tape from the concert. What a bummer! Stick, that large flag from Knebworth must be something! Were you at that concert? They say it had 160,000-200,000 people in attendance. ianlasseter, wasn't sure what acetate was but now I know. LOL So many treasures that bring so many good memories. I usually value the old vintage stuff as you can't replace them. |

I ignored the black vinyl and bought two of the ivory coloured vinyl instead and both remain sealed to this day. Thought the black vinyl wouldn't be worth anything so didn't bother...how wrong I was :D |
Stick 21.08.2019 11:58 |
@HelloDelilah No I wasn't at Knebworth, I was just one year on this planet at that time. Picked up the flag in a shop in London when I was there for a few days when I was 17 or 18. I think I also got a Made In Heaven the videos DVD in Harrods. And the last thing I acquired on that trip was a hard cardboard advertising poster for the WWRY musical that hung next to the escalator in a tube station. There were lots and lots of them but all stuck inside metal frames but a friend noticed that one of the frames was broken and so we went back and managed to get it out. Walked around all day with it when visiting Greenwich Park and eventually slid down the hill on it which was great fun. Didn't damage it one bit so pretty good quality stuff. |
cmsdrums 21.08.2019 14:52 |
Other than the actual vinyl and CDs, for me it's my ticket stubs, programmes, personal emails from Brian, and Roger's drumsticks. |
HelloDelilah 21.08.2019 18:19 |
Stick, oh you were just a baby during that time! LOL What a fun memory sliding down the hill!! I did that once in college where we snuck into a private golf course and slid down the wet grassy slope on cardboard. Good fun! cmsdrums, I wish I kept my tickets stubs to all the concerts, which weren’t that many. It’s good to reminisce on our youth. Shucks. Hindsight. Wow, how did you get a personal email from Brian and Roger’s drumsticks?! Brian seems like such a genuine and gentle person. |

WOW!! How did you get on their Christmas card list? You must have been good that year! :) Do you know long they carried out that tradition? |

So far it must be the photo where I stand on the stage of Union Concert Hall - Imperial College where Smile, Ibex/Wreckage and Queen performed many times. It is amazing story. July 2019. It was my first time in London and England. One of my main goal was to visit Queen related places. This was one of them. I visited Imperial College just after Royal Albert Hall, which is pretty much on the other side of the road. Obviously I knew more or less where I should go to see what I wanted. And I wanted to see the concert hall in this case. I found the building - Imperial College Union. On the building is the plaque which says "Queen first public performace in London here 18th July 1970". I'm reading it straight from my photo. I knew the concert hall is on the 2nd floor. So I go upstairs. I came to the 2nd floor and on the right-hand side I see this magical place. Next to the door it says "Union Concert Hall". I'm looking through the glass in the door and there it is. After a while it turns out the door was open. On the door was written "Fire door keep shut keep locked". I'm using my photos for reference all the time. The place was monitored. But you know, this could be the only time I had an opportunity like this. So I decided to go in. Which I did. Turned out no one was inside! I had one photo taken in front of the stage. I wanted to make things smooth and quick. But there were stairs leading to the stage... Guess what? I went onto the stage! I looked arough and spotted very old door behind the stage, unvisible from the audience. I imagine they used them to appear on the stage. I decided to do Freddie pose to recreate what was happening exactly on the spot I was standing 50/49/48 years ago. The photo of myself was taken at that moment. Pretty unreal. I had a quick look around and decided to go. But then I had an idea to make a video of myself leaving the Union Concert Hall. And I did it. Hopefully I'll be back in London. I loved every hour of my trip. This was just one of many many places I've seen overall. Also went to Wembley Stadium to see The Who. Unreal experience. |

Chopin1995, What a memorable experience!! And so much fun sneaking in. Must have been surreal being at the exact same place as where they were 50 years ago. That was a great idea to visit there. Do you know if Imperial College still uses that auditorium for classes and such? Did you go to Garden Lodge as well? |
dysan 25.08.2019 07:38 |
You should stick the pictures in the Queen Landmarks thread: link |

I like the Japanese 3 inch single box set. It's cute, and from a certain angle looks like the obelisk from 2001. Thus spoke Zarathustra! |

dysan, great idea to post on the other thread. ^^^ |

When I was there, many mics were under the stage and chairs in the audience section were prepared. Of course I went to Garden Lodge! |

Good idea, dear Dysan. I've completely forgotten about that thread. But the title says "landmark in your town" and I'm not sure London qualifies as my town :) |

Chopin1995, your trip sounds awesome!! And of course you went to a Garden Lodge!! :) Holly2003, what was on the Japanese singles set? It's interesting and might be a collectors item. I’ve seen 3” records long time ago in clear jeweltone colors if I remember correctly. |

MiH ivory vinyl from 1995 FM Solo Collection Box set |

I had a couple of those 3" CDs. Slightly nicer items than those 00s 5" single boxes. We wonder why the planet is now dying :( On those links above do we know that the 2 different edit names are actually the same versions? Weird to think they used distinctly different masters. @fairyking - yeah difficult to think of a nicer item than the FM box. I cherish mine. |
