Nothing, nothing tops what I felt the first time I experienced the PiotreQ Bohemian Rhapsody Orchestral mix on youtube. He's still the best remixer around by a mile. Really hoping he has not retired from this.
I really like the Mike Spencer Mix of Under Pressure.
BTW, here are Mike's own comments on the project:
"This was a great project. The plan was to do a re-working of Under Pressure for the Millennium. The original tapes revealed some interesting things. Some of the vocal tracks had Bowie and Mercury singing each others parts the other way round from the record you are familiar with. It didn’t work as well however, so we stuck to the original format. John Deacon was an inspiration to work with."
Aside from the interesting point about the alternative vocals, that also means John was still active and involved in 1999.

saw that recently too, and the same things stood out - it's SO good to hear that John was actively involved at that point, but emphasises the sorrow that he's not now.
My favorite Queen remixes would have to be the 1991 versions of You're My Best Friend and Fat Bottomed Girls. The former isn't much more than a "playing with the multitracks" situation, but I like that the feel of it isn't drastically different. The latter contains a good amount of extra content(extended interlude, more outro vocals)while maintaining the general style. The only big difference besides the extra guitar and vocals is that the opening vocals have been switched to those from the second chorus.
Another remix I enjoy that has some ties to Queen would be the 12" version of Liar. The 7" and 12" versions of the song are both noticeably different from the album version in ways besides the running time. While the single version is limited to additional elements(percussion, backing vocals), the extended version makes full-blown stylistic changes to the track. During the reprise of the second verse, it turns into a stripped down acoustic track prior to the drums coming back in for the prechorus. We also get to hear isolated tracks as the song gradually starts up.

That remix also has drum samples in place of Roger's original sound to make it a more modern sounding track...it does brighten/freshen up the track, but still sounds strange when it kicks in just because I'm so used to the original!
I have a soft spot for the Flash remix on the HR reissue. Mista Lange or someone? It's far too long but I REALLY like the fairground organ that comes in halfway through.
