Freddie would have been 72 years old now, hes rocking days would have passed at least a decade ago. Tina Turner who was known for her live energetic performances just like Freddie was, retired definitely at the age of 61, just because she couldn't keep performing at the level everybody was used to see her perform. By the same pattern and knowing how Freddie felt about himself growing old and not wanting to look silly plus the fact that he was a man of leisure, all of that would have led him to retire from Queen. Brian and Roger would have kept the band in limbo until Adam Lambert shows up in 2009 at American Idol. And the rest is history. Meantime Freddie would have retired to Switzerland, just like Tina Turner did. |

If he didn't get Aids they probably wouldn't have got together again in 1987. The Miracle and Innuendo wouldn't have happened. Freddie probably would have taken the role he was offered in "Time" when Cliff left the show, then who knows what else, more theatre roles, soundtrack work, opera stuff, movie cameos (all singers do movies at some point)? Brian and Roger would have a couple of solo albums, toured with their respective bands and shared John Deacon between them in a custody arrangement when touring. I want it all and Headlong would still released but as Brain solo songs, three singles from the "Brian May Solo album from and produced by Brian May" along with 'Driven by You' from the car advert. The world would be spared the horror of hearing Freddies "delilah" and instead get an album of cover songs in 1988 from Freddie that include Tom Jones' Delilah and The Great Pretender. He would duet with Aretha Franklin in the early 90's, as this was the style at the time. Elton John would have still recived the crappy tacky painting as a christmas present from Freddie in 1991, but Freddie is alive to give it to him. Freddie would die in a horrible fellatio related accident in 1996, and the timeline from there would probably match ours. But the PHSCE school books wouldn't have a photo of Freddie on the page talking about Aids, instead it would be Kenny Everett. |

Ultimately get outed and enjoy a new solo career. |

Illness stopped her performing not just age. |

Emrabt, in the spirit of all those morbid threads about Freddie's last months, could you please describe in more detail the horrible accident that killed Freddie in 1996? :D |
Star* 26.02.2019 12:40 |
Freddie always said they would all stay together until they dropped dead. I think if he was alive today he would still be with Queen and John Deacon would be in the band still. |
Dr Magus 26.02.2019 14:00 |
Queen would have split in 1973 if it wasn't for me running to the shops to buy every copy of their debut album. Don't thank me all at once, guys. |

The Everett - Wheeler model of Quantum Physics states that somewhere, Queen are still going as the original 4 piece. Somewhere else, they all died at birth. Take your pick of the infinite spectrum of possibilities in between. I'd say this reality is pretty good for being a Queen fan. |

Let my version of events sip into your brains and let there be no doubt it's the right way for the events to unfold if... Freddie lived. |

I think he would have kept going. Jagger has. He would have had to exercise, stop smoking, drinking , etc. but he could have done it. |
ForFreddie 04.03.2019 21:31 |
Why, would Adam Lambert front Queen, if Freddie was alive? It would make no sense. It makes no difference that Freddie would be 72 now, the rest of the band, is just as old. Besides, look at Mick Jagger, still going strong, still strutting his stuff on stage. There would be no reason for Adam Lambert to even be on Queen's radar, if Freddie was still alive.... Freddie would be the obvious and, only choice.....why wouldn't he? If not for Freddie, there'd BE no Queen. |

Seems the "sweetandtenderhooligan" is smoking something making him dippy again! Why on earth would the dreadful Adam Lambert be fronting Queen if Freddie was still alive? Firstly Freddie would not allow it and i am pretty sure about that. Mercury always put Brian in his place when he came up with ridiculous ideas, and getting Lambert to front Queen is the biggest mistake of Brian's career by miles. |
bucsateflon 05.03.2019 08:47 |
Jagger and Freddie are not comparable in any way shape or form My theory of events is irrefutable. |

rockchic65 wrote:Well Mr Gold Freddie did say he wouldn't be running about on stage at 70 because he would look ridiculous, He had to be talked into doing the Magic tour and wouldn't play smaller venues in the US on a planned Works US tour so on evidence it's quite possible had he lived he probably couldn't be touring now even if the other band members wanted tooGold wrote: Seems the "sweetandtenderhooligan" is smoking something making him dippy again! As to your arguments about Lambert, your wrong, Rockchic has made a valid point. In fact the only time your argument would make any sense would have been if the first Q+AL tour had flopped. There ticket selling power around the world is now equal to what it was when the original lineup was touring |
Star* 05.03.2019 16:55 |
Queen+ is just a big empire of money, it has no ambience no magic the set lists are repeat after repeat and sure they sell out over the hype about Adam, He is not as good as the hype suggests. As for you saying they are as big as the original line up well i dismiss that claim because Queen and Freddie worked damn hard to get the reputation that they had as kings of rock, Where Adam has not done a quarter of the grafting Freddie did. Freddie said they would look ridiculous touring when old but May & Taylor still are and yes they do look desperate and ridiculous. May is squeezing every limp drop out of Freddie's creation which was "Queen". |
bucsateflon 06.03.2019 21:30 |
Adam has over 150 concerts with the best live rock band in history. this is a mighty performance for anyone, ever. |
