Now that Bohemian Rhapsody is almost out of the theaters, grossing almost 850 million dollars worldwide. I didn't notice it before, but in my opinion this movie is/was mostly made with the U.S. market in mind. Why?, because especially the touring/concert scenes mostly take place in America. That's a smart move on Queen's part, because they never hit it big time anymore after 1981 in the States. I know they couldn't put every country/tour in the movie, but besides Brazil and Japan (nothing about South Africa) there are no other countries mentioned. I enjoyed the movie and the strange thing is that Queen and especially Freddie Mercury are remarked as absolutely great musicians/performers by everybody these days. How one movie and a few century's can change the globally general public opinion about this band, because i got a lot of stick for liking their music during the 70's and 80's. Mostly because of Freddie's sexuality etc. People never judged them on their music, for a lot of them they were always that gay band etc. What are your opinions/thoughts on/about this?
