As we all know, Queen never perform live this album. But on the next tours of Brian and Roger solo or Q+PR or Q+AL they never perform a song (apart from I want in all) of this album. Why do you think that they rejected this album live? Innuendo have more songs live, like Headlong, Innuendo (just one time, I know), Ride The Wild Wind, TATDOOL, TSMGO...
Maybe they think that The Miracle wasn't a good album? Or maybe they just can't fit that songs on live format?
I think they've shown they can reinvent almost anything on record to the live setting - rock up Breakthru (DSMN '79 style), acoustic title track might be nice.
Maybe they find listening to the album hard because of the massive massive cloud over them then. Like having to meet your ex-wife who totally wiped you out emotionally for 3 years.
The difference with Innuendo is stuff like TSMGO is a massive anthem that extends beyond the record it's on, DOOL same. The Miracle doesn't have anything of consequence to their career on it, beside IWIA which as you say, is the song that remains in the set.
I think Adam would SLAY I'm Going Slightly Mad. Much to the purist's annoyance.
I keep thinking this thread is called Tin Machine Live and do a double take.
And album, incidentally also released in 1989 and it's lead single was on the same The Chart Show as I Want It All
Lambert would SLAY I'm Going Slightly Mad? Yes. Lambert would absolutely murder it. It'd be horrendous.
Let's hope they never let him perform that one as well as all the other Queen songs he murders.
One minute in and nothing. ....
I'll keep u updated.
Cheers! To the questions about John's perm. John was rocking a short cut like 78/79 again though for Scandal/The Miracle; arguably this would be semi in keeping with the time frame as Freddie (not Frederick) and co. Revisited the 86 theme except with Freddie donning a Marilyn Monroe shirt instead of that Bettie Boop one
