Hopefully you have all seen some pro shots of the last Queen concert, Knebworth Park 1986. There is a full concert, but the filmer is aiming at the jumbo screen, which ruins the whole thing. But there is some pro footage of the band playing, just not a lot. What could have happened to the recordings? Did Freddie want them deleted? Were the filming crew just stupid? No one knows.
I remember Brian once said that nobody thought to record the video stream of the giant screen ... It's a shame if it's true, because at the time no one could imagine it will be the last Queen concert. I don't know if back in 1986 professionnal video tapes was that expensive for a band like them to preserve their performance but nowadays popular artists probably record every live show, or at least what is displayed on giant screen ...
Well saying they made quite a few live DVDs (even in 1974 before Boh Rap) it wouldnt be too expensive. I know for a fact that a lot of Queen concerts have recordings but we can't find them. This could be the case with Knebworth Park.
I believe that what brian said in interwiev was true. if they will have the full big screen footage and some more stuff shot by doro they will allready rellease the concert just because of that fact that this is freddie last concert so people will buy offten this dvd mostly because of this fact. I also remember there is official documentary where they show part of the big screen bootleg (Radio ga ga i believe) and why will they use bootleg instead of big screen master tape if they really have them?
There was a discussion a year ago about it that cooperation with the DoRo is troublesome and they are very expensive when it comes to lurking in their (Doro's) archives and watching the tapes. Even Rhys Thomas confirmed it.

I don't buy that at all. There is no way surely that they would've signed a contract with DoRo to film at Knebworth without retaining the rights to use that footage. It doesn't make any sense.
Anyway, I don't care about Knebworth: there are already 3 Magic Tour gigs filmed professionally and released.
The question came up about knebworth at the convention back in 2003 when they were parading the release of Wembley on DVD. The answer was that the tape has been deleted. So don't hold your breath for a release. It is not gonna happen.
There were 3 camera teams
1) team which was shooting the concert to be broadcast on the big screen, some sources claim that it was just broadcast but not recorded, other sources claim it was recorded by the tapes were deleted, because they were not needed (they filmed 2 Wembley shows on video and Budapest on film)
2) ITV / Anglia - they shot a report about the concert, including (parts of ) One Vision
3) DoRo team - they shot a documentary about the Magic Tour, they filmed at least the second half of the Knebworth gig, plus all of the helicopter and backstage footage seen in different documentaries, this footage still exists, not labelled properly in the DoRo archives link
