Wow, this is an interview Adam did with someone named “Sam” when he was still in L.A. before the current tour and a QAL Show in Luxembourg on November. This will give you an insight into Adam. It might help non-Adam fans to know him better: link |

I'm no hater - I've seen six Q+AL shows - and my grievance isn't him per se. I hate the fact that the recent tours are nothing but a lazy money grab. The vastly inflated ticket prices compared to the 2015 EU leg combined with an uninspired, predictable setlist leave me cold. I'm sorry if you don't get that. And no, before you say it, I shouldn't just 'be grateful that they're still touring'...Brian, Roger and Adam probably take home at least £100,000 a night, remember. It's not exactly a chore, is it? I live 10 minutes away from the o2 in London and am currently not fussed about skipping either show there in December. |

The guys are 70 and 68 — you miss this tour at your own peril. You have to be there to feel the excitement when Frank the robot breaks down the wall. I thought not including IL and SYW in the set list would make a difference but it doesn’t! Their show is spectacular no matter which songs are performed! My advice: don’t miss it — you’ll regret it later! |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 08.11.2017 12:29 |
I totally see the point of those that are no longer that much excited about the tours. From my point of view it is quite different, because it is really difficult to have the opportunity to see them each time, as I live in Brazil, I have a job, a family and I am certainly not rich. Given that and the fact that, after 38 years, I am still completely nuts about Queen and all of the related B and R endeavours makes it really compelling to me to strongly consider going anywhere in the world where they might be playing, everytime. If I do not attend to each and every gig, it's because of reasons absolutely beyond my will. That happens to be the case 99% of the time, unfortunately. As for their current tour, I have to say I was a little more excited about the last ones, but I would still do each and everything in my powers to see them if there were the slightest possibility of seeing these gigs. Cheers, Ogre- |

I live 10 minutes away from the o2 in London and am currently not fussed about skipping either show there in December. The reason the price is higher is because the tour is a much more complex production a much larger to transport than last time. I don't know what the band earn per show, but in 2015 they had 13 x40 ft trailers and an on tour staff of about 70 people. Plus 60 local crew at each venue to help with load in/out and set construction. This tour has more trucks the same on tour staff but 78 local crew at the load in and 95 for the load out. It's a more complex construction and takes longer to put up and take down and that is where some of the extra money is being spent. Does any of this excuse the monotonous safe set list? No, but it's what they choose to do. |

Er...let's do some setlist analysis: Hammer To Fall - regular during the 1984, 1985 and 1986 tours with Freddie; 2005, 2006 and 2008 tours with Paul Rodgers; 2016 and 2017 shows with AL Stone Cold Crazy - regular since 2014 US Tour Another One Bites The Dust - regular between 1980-1986; 2006 and 2008; 2012 onward. Tie Your Mother Down - I'm annoyed this has come back in (well, it did so for the final USA show in 2017). In the vast majority of Queen and Q+ shows since 1976. Fat Bottomed Girls - regular since 2005. Killer Queen - regular since 2014. Don't Stop Me Now - regular since 2014. Bicycle Race - actually quite fresh, play the whole song, please. I'm In Love With My Car - 2005, 2006, 2008, 2017 regular. Get Down Make Love - see Bicycle Race. I Want It All - along with TSMGO/Days, a predictable post-1986 song. Love Of My Life - regular since 1979 Somebody To Love - OK, it's one of the songs Adam is best on, but it's been done to death since 2012. Crazy Little Thing Called Love - since 1979. (Drum Battle) - pointless Under Pressure - one I like hearing, but a regular in Q+AL shows since 2014 I Want To Break Free - Safe choice. The 2014/2017 US legs were better without it. Whataya Want From Me (Adam solo song) - I'm OK with this. Who Wants To Live Forever - the song Adam sings best. But it's been in the Q+AL set since day one. (Guitar Solo - Last Horizon) - toilet break for most people Radio GaGa - regular since 1984. Bo Rhap, WWRY/WATC will always get played. There's no chance of them getting dropped. The original US 2017 plan to separate the final two was good. Why not end with Bo Rhap for a change? Brian talks about them being "live and dangerous" - the latter is nonsense. They're safe, bland choices. European fans get shortchanged when it comes to I Was Born To Love You and Teo Torriate. US 2014 leg had Love Kills - give me that over 90% of this setlist. Dragon Attack hasn't featured much over here, either. Dropping It's Late and Spread Your Wings so quickly was an abomination. One of the highlights of the 2012 London shows was Brian's acoustic spot. Solo versions of STL and Best Friend were fab (he also played Life Is Real in Moscow). Challenge the crowd, have a bit of fun. I wish he did that every night. The go-to argument is that the fans want to see the hits. Queen have more than enough of them (not to mention the usual suspects to close the show) to satisfy both that demand AND throw in a few lesser-known tracks. I'm not talking about playing the second half of Queen II in its entirety...just something a bit different to the same tracks that litter the sets year after year. Oooh, great, Adam rides a bike and Frank pops up out of the stage. Fab. Compare that to Roger Waters' current tour (sure, the setlist also sucks, but my god it's a visual treat) and again they fall short. |

Nick, thanks for your great post and analysis! I never saw Freddie except on live tv and on videos but love the music played live no matter how many times and which songs. Maybe I should be more picky, but I’m not! |

Freddie not there at the end of BoRhap again. Lots of cheering his omission by the Glamberts on the streams and his fan forums. I tell you, piece by piece they will try to remove Freddie so they can hammer the point that the band is "moving on". Next to go? Probably the Wembley tape, then next will probably have Adam sat on his arse on a stool singing LOML with Brian. Maybe another dropped Queen song so Adam has a second solo spot. Little things like this makes it harder and harder to support this collaboration any longer. Certainly it's harder to respect Adam from the angle of a diehard Queen fan who didn't mind, or even held QAL in a positive light. John was first to "go", now the band's main creative force, the one who embodied Queen -- turned it into Queen from 'Smile' -- is unfortunately dwindling as a spectre of the past to TPTB. This group and show were once respectful of the past, but lately they've been showing their true colors. |
GrowUpGlamberts 08.11.2017 20:53 |
^ Also, said cheering goes to show that these "Glamberts" don't give a shit about Queen and are there only to support Adam. Don't mind the lad himself but his fans are abhorrent. |
Iron Butterfly 08.11.2017 21:21 |
One thing for AL to mess up the lyrics, but to cut Freddie out? That's worse. That's really awful. No need to do that! |
queenfanbg 08.11.2017 21:31 |
Folks,no offence but here is queenzone.com and AL,FU,TH,YN,VI,AS,QAL,QAS and so on is not Queen themes. Other words:wrong forum. |
SweetCaroline 08.11.2017 21:58 |
You guys are sounding paranoid! Getting rid of Freddie? For being a dead person, he has been more than resurrected and honored in this show. Maybe you want to go back to the QPR shows when they showed a film of Freddie doing the whole BoRhap song? |
Iron Butterfly 08.11.2017 22:33 |
Nope, not paranoid. A Freddie and Queen fan who thinks he should be shown~not less the current shows as a mark of respect and recogniztion.. Simple as that. You clearly don't know the first thing about Bohemian Rhapsody. Does AL need to do everything Freddie did? No. There's no need of cutting even more of Freddie out. |
SweetCaroline 08.11.2017 22:55 |
I think they were having a technical problem at the end of BoRhap a couple of days ago when they show Freddie because they didn’t show him at all today. |

Comment on BoRhap video (link from this concert from an Adam fan: Queen Fan Get over it, Freddie is dead and will never come back and the gift from God is here to stay! ?? Plus Adam sings this better than Freddie ever did anyway? ^ Saying something like this, regardless of whether you like Adam or not, is disgusting. People upvoted this too. |
Iron Butterfly 09.11.2017 00:35 |
Things like that, GuG, makes my heart sink and my mouth fall open. Dislike and disappointing. AL would not be where he is without singing Queen songs. |

@grow up glamberts. These comments are coming from moronic kids who don't know where songs originate. Somehow they must think Bohemian Rhapsody ALWAYS existed. It's hard not to be frustrated by these idiots but it's likely true. ...they're children bred into desirousness for fame and singing. ...it's retarded ....it's offensive but it's true. For them to disregard Freddie shows how little they understand ANYTHING. I feel ya. Try not to get enraged. ...if they're THIS STUPID already. ..imagine what they'll suffer through their kids |

Heck...it's a generation that doesn't even feel like they should pay for music. As if artists float on clouds and generate energy without any source |
