From what I hear it's great night for Roger! Well, apart from BoRhap fail :) But quite nice recovery! And Freddie seems to be in Newcastle shape! (although he doesn't sing as many high notes as 2 days before) But I can hear C5 on BoRhap and mega-high note on Now I'm Here improv (4:32) |

It's a fantastic show, Freddie is in Newcastle shape (considering it's the night before). I definitely hear a C5 in Boh Rhap and as Chopin mentioned above, a super high note! Be looking forward to your very detailed description Greg! :P -Chin |

Hi guys! Thanks for the positive messages - this gig is really good. It's awesome to hear another Crazy Tour show. Freddie sounds wonderful on this show. As what others have said - he sounds pretty much the same as he does at the Newcastle shows. I'll wait a bit before writing about the show! I want to listen to this several times and really get into this gig! I'll probably start the writing process towards the end of the month! |

cmi wrote: ^ Silly thought actually. Do you really prefer 80 minutes of poor amateur live recording over high quality 40 minutes of never heard before work-in-progress tracks from '77??? Probably because it's free of charge... I don't know what's the point to think so... 2 OP: Thanks a lot for this really rare recording from not so greatly documented excellent Crazy Tour.I second this comment in its entirety ! An uncirculated live recording is one thing (and don't get me wrong - this is amazing), but precisely how much unheard studio material from 1977 have we heard here? About 10 minutes worth ? |

Cheers to everyone involved. And my apologies to RabinMurray for accusing you of possibly being the Long Beach 77 dickhead in the other thread. How does the quality compare to the 2nd night in Newcastle? |
little foetus 18.09.2017 18:30 |
The quality is quite bad, I would say C/C+. On par with Glasgow in the best moments. Nevertheless, it is great to have a new recording from the Crazy Tour. I wasn't even collecting Queen recordings when the last one surfaced (complete kampuchea in 2000?). :) |
mow955 18.09.2017 18:42 |
Thank you all. What a treat. Shame the quality is quite poor. But an uncirculated tape is still fantastic to listen to, being hidden away for all those decades. |

I think it's possible he hit the C5 in boh rhap at least in 2 other gigs. Maybe there is a show he gets everything. Hammersmith, live aid sun city, cologne 82 and Newcastle is the closest we have to him nailing the whole song. Unless the Glasgow C5 is real... |

Thanks for this big surprise. If we only could find the taper. It sounds like generations far away from the master or as if someone made a co-recording while the original cassette was played. Anyway I'm glad that new recordings out there come to light after all these years. Thanks again for the great spirit to share it with the community. Kind regards, W. |
mckey 19.09.2017 20:18 |
Someone here has been owning the master tape recording with the full show on it for 3 years. They are hoarding - which is very unfair towards other fans who have to deal with this inferior copy. And I actually know the hoarder personally, you'd be surprised if you knew who it is. |
MercurialFreddie 19.09.2017 20:33 |
Well, then it would be nice if those "owning the master tape" would share it here... |
Barry Durex 20.09.2017 09:51 |
MercurialFreddie wrote: Well, then it would be nice if those "owning the master tape" would share it here...Somebody obviously knows who has been hoarding the full Liverpool '79 concert these past 3 years. Perhaps the ''hoarder'' might be fretting somewhat, hence the post by mckey being removed. |
people on streets 20.09.2017 10:55 |
Thanks for this great share. Crazy tour audience recording! That's great! Always this pointless discussion about hoarding.... Tapers can do whatever they want with their tapes. Don't be a jealous bitch about someone owning something you'd like to own but don't. There's always going to be situations in life like that. Deal with it. Again. Thanks for the the crazy tour show. Crazy indeed. |
Barry Durex 20.09.2017 11:23 |
^ Just how pointless it is remains to be seen. There is a big difference between trading and hoarding though, and some people seem unable to grasp that. If the jealous bitch comment is aimed at me, you fired your arrow in the wrong direction I'm afraid. I have no problem with traders, would there really be any trading sites around if there was no longer a supply and demand? I'm not accusing the tapers of any wrong doing either, of course they can do as they please with their recordings. Traded concerts eventually come out in the wash, so it's to the advantage of everyone in the end, and actually helps to eliminate hoarding. Once you trade something even once, it is effectively in the public domain. |
people on streets 20.09.2017 13:26 |
Not aimed at anyone in particular. I couldn't care less. Just listened to the recording. What a joke. Haha. Must've been the worst audience tape I've ever heard. Only in the Queencommunity.... hahaha |

Barry, Sir GH, please stop that. we don't need a war here especially considering you're both one of those few posters here who tremendously contributed to this forum. @people on streets I too don't have a problem with hoarders but now that the recording (no matter how good or bad is it) has been shared, the master tape is of less value. We've heard the show and the performance is excellent and the person hoarding the tape wants to capitalize on what ? Quality ? Sharing it here would be an example of really nice generosity. What's more, I do believe (if the master tape would be truly a vast improvement) that people on Queenzone would even pay this person for this tape. |
mckey 21.09.2017 21:26 |
I wasn't actually talking about the OWNER of the master tape but I referred to a user on Queenzone who has a digital copy of the master tape recording and this person is hoarding the show (I don't think the owner of the master tape is on Queenzone). And yes, there's a noticable difference between the inferiour recording and the master tape - the audio quality is better and it has almost all the songs on it I'm not so much annoyed by the fact that this person on Queenzone didn't share the recording publically but by the fact that they were involved in putting this inferiour version up and yet they were pretending as if they were surprised by how good this concert is (they had 3 YEARS to listen to this concert) That's what's bothering me. If you own a uncirculated recording of a show and don't want to share it for whatever reason - that's ok with me. BUT don't act all surprised and don't push yourself into getting involved in publishing an INFERIOUR recording of the show and pretend to know nothinng about the master tape recording. That's hypocrisy in my opinion! If you own a digital copy of the master tape, just be f'ing quiet. And no, Barry Burex, I wasn't referring to you as the hoarder. |
