Something I think well happen is a Queen farewell gig possibly at Wembley Stadium, I guess it would be similar to the 2nd half of the Freddie Tribute, which I have to mention I was at, but the singers would be very different. So who would be there this time? My thoughts are:- Katy Perry Robbie Williams Green Day Celine Dion GnR My Chemical Romance Elton John Metallica (?) The Darkness Lady GaGa Old School Robert Plant and Roger Daltrey So starting the thread for others to contribute the best line up. I'm also a big Wildhearts fan. Would love to see Ginger there too. Hope some of you guys know who the Wildhearts are. |

Do you really think that anybody would want to see Elton John trying to sing Bo Rhapsody again. They should just do a farewell tour with John Deacon,Roger Taylor,Brian May,Tim Stafell and Spike Edney.Playing some Smile stuff ,some solo tracks from Brian and Roger and one track from each album. |

Tim Staffel? What are you going on about? Not going to happen, either of the above ideas. Some of these acts have their own farewell tours to worry about. |
Cruella de Vil 15.08.2017 13:02 |
Celine Dion???? What's she going to sing? What's the point in all this? |

If there has a chance for such a concert it would be really good. I can only say which performers I would like to see at such a concert and which songs I would like to hear: Elton John-Innuendo Robbie Williams-I Want To Break Free Mika-Don't Stop Me Now Rag'n'Bone Man-I Want It All Lady GaGa- Who Wants To Live Forever Gary Barlow- Somebody To Love Sam Smith/Adam Lambert- Under Presure And in the end all the singers sing The Miracle. |

Cruella de Vil wrote: Celine Dion???? What's she going to sing? What's the point in all this? While I think the idea here is completley ludicruous..ie why the HELL would they do a farewell tour?!? WTF!?? BUT...in all fairness...Celine Dion is a huge Queen fan and actually does Queen songs in concert...She's done The Show Most Go On...a medley, Love Of My Life. link |

Hey, its no different to a Queen 'Tribute Album' in another thread. It was only a suggestion. And whoever LOTV is, can he possible make a comment without C U next Tuesday not involved? What a parasitic righteous incontinent carpet-munching koock, If you really do not believe Brian and Roger would do a final gig at Wembley with guest singers, then you have little knowledge of Queen history. Look at their guest appearances, the Freddie tribute, who they constantly endorse, well Brian more of course. Do you really think the last show of this tour will be the last gig? They will go out with a bang. Might not be what I originally mentioned, but the comments are uncalled for, especially from posters like Anagramer, Penetration_Guru and Holly2003. |

The story about Deacon saying that about Robbie Williams is most likely false. We discussed this a while back in some thread. |

That's what's bothering you. In retrospect that was a stupid suggestion. Let's cancel it and, instead, some episodes of The Sky at Night can be shown on the big screen. |

Honestly Holly, didn't bother me for a second, all that bothered me is I've been a member of this forum probably since around 1998, I was a 'journalist' for this site many years ago (changed names several times since), you've been around a long time and I have read and at times respected your opinion. Certain cretins on this forum I wouldn't give a flying fornication about, but others more old school I respect and give more credence to the response. More fool me I guess. Same with Penetration_Guru, old school, lot to offer, but a very juvenile and patronising response. As per many others who have abandoned QZ, it may be time to call it a day after around 20 years. |
