..... absolutely FUCKING FANTASTIC.
I hung around and tried to "sneak surprise" this gig into the week with my lady friend (*deliberately being rude TELLING her we're GOING TO MEET AT THIS PLACE etc etc. ...) with absolutely NO MENTION OF ANY CONCERT at all.
This was something special
Unfortunately i missed the opening couple of songs. Either way. ...the bombast it's there. The humor. ....it's there. The fun. ...it's there.
I'm actually VERY HAPPY to be this SURPRISED by the guys. This was something of "Queen fan dreams"
(*swype misspelled my comment but I'll settle for absolutely gastric...IF someone opened a wall partition and revealed THIS BAND playing THIS SET OF SONGS LIVE. ...I'd guarantee you'd probably fart.....
Thank you Swype for *CORRECTING me. ;-)
*(FTR i bought cheap seats cause I didn't expect anything out of this Tour but what I'd gotten in 2014, my my my what a thrill it is to be WRONG this time.
Even from above. .
Sang my heart out. Scared the "new fans" was complimented on my singing by the old ones and even got THEM to sing along.
A joyous time was had by all.
I'd like to personally thank the guys. ...but instead will have to resort to instagram shiiiite.
....now if only my lady friend hadn't been so rude about my enjoyment. ..this wouldve been THE most fantastic night this year.
Bottom line: Go to the gig. Any way possible. It's a "Queen" spectacle. ..and farking awesome.
I'm just a LITTLE disappointed that my "We-Wease Woger" chant didn't catch on. ...
....But (!) When you're screaming from section R-2 at the bowl and don't even care. ....the love of the band is a LOT LESS SUBTLE.
I'm so glad I went (*again)
What a dream it was to hear I'M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR ...i know i missed the QPR stuff.
I didn't buy a ticket for their show when they appeared at the Isle of Wight festival last year because I really really couldn't bear to expose myself to AL. I'd seen the Cosmis Rocks tour and loved it but AL seemed a different ball game to PR. Who in turn I had been reluctant to see cos he wasn't FM.
In the end I paid a tenner for a wristband off a bloke going home early when I dropped my daughter off to catch a boat back to uni.
Best tenner I ever spent on almost anything ever. (When Springsteencame and played our little Usland I didn't pay for my wristband at all... or that would have been a close second)
I was so pleased to hear the music I love so much being played by two of my idols while they still can.
It was fun. It was loud. It was bombastic. In my book that means it must be Queen.
I can't wait to see them again in Europe later on this year. And I'm jealous of all you people getting to see them already.
Just to hear that guitar sound live is enough, it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.... to be honest while he has is many haters here frankly Adam is doing an amazing job, I cant think of anyone doing it better now, and I'be been a fan since 75...
I was at the Las Vegas concert and it could not have been better. My fiancee is not really into rock, but she really enjoyed it and really liked Adam's interpretation of the songs. IMO, he does a really good job. I know many Queen fans are up in flames with him and all that, but he really can sing.
Oh, and I feel that his new song "Two Fux" is right in line with something Queen would have done in the 70's.
