Who has a decent transfer of Sao Paulo from QTV?
Perhaps we can make a merge of some sort, I have a recording but it is not that great (sample link below). link
Trouble is all of his versions are NTSC with messed up sound and a cropped or trimmed picture. On top of that he adds filters which sometimes make things look even worse.
After checking QTV broadcast schedules, I can confirm this concert was shown in 1988, 1989, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000.
There should be plenty more PAL versions around.
Like Kurgan, I took my recorder every year and from 2001 I put everything on DVD and circulated the lot.
Funny how they get lost over time and this isn't the first time in the last decade I've had this conversation here on QZ...
I'll upload some mpeg rips over the weekend and folks can judge for themselves.

Great idea, I went from 1986 - 2001 but didn't bother to keep re-recording the same stuff over and over.
In hindsight it may have been a good idea to, as some chalets had better reception than others.
Some of my tapes are also showing signs of wear now.
It was around 2001 that QTV began to suffer from picture interference and, like you, I slowed down what I recorded as it was all repeats.
I think I have Paris 79 with that interference, recorded on SVHS and also Hammy 79, which I edited into the correct order, replaced CLTCL with an alternate source as the fan clubs tape was damaged at that point and filled in a few bits with the audience recording.
My last edit of it was in 2009 - again circulated, but maybe it's time to re-circulate....
If Chief Mouse has a metod of removing the interference, that would be great!
Here i'm writing this message.....i'm not annoying somebody ,i'm just trying to express something
i had this on mpg1 one file and it was exactly the same quality,it will be that you would upload this on transfer dvdr like i did with caracas concert the only nstc video
existence, i shared that because i want that people had that for collection like videos hammersmith xmas concert rock masters version,or madrid 1979 concert brodcasted in the 90's or the raw video's argentina 1981
i don't understand why nobody wants to share this ...the whole video video.
I Shared Queen caracas concert the only nstc video, i shared that because i want that people had that for collection
Brothers a little bit of heart.
i'd would to start with a new series of dvd bootlegs of my improvement/restoration,,,,i'm not saying i'm better than pittrek or chief mouse....i'm carefully at the time of edit videos/and audio.

I can't find the threads relating to your Qtv shares when I search on QZ. Have they been erased or something?

I used to have a different account back in the early days of QZ (but don't ask me what it was!), and other people with better internet speeds used to share things for me as well.
I still have shitty 100kb/s upload speeds and torrenting doesn't work for me anymore, so that's why I rarely share anything these days.
I used to share all the time on the old Queen hub as well.
Like I said. I guess a lot of it has got lost in the mists of time and there are probably a lot of newcomers in the last decade who missed out.
For me, it doesn't seem that long :(
Here's my copy of the same song.
This is ripped from my very old, ealy 2000's DVD where I put the full gig on the disc, so the bitrate isn't as high as a new transfer would be, though it does have the QTV logo. link
Does anybody else have a their own QTV recoridng of this (that they recorded themselves)?
WWRY and WATC have some faults carelessly introduced by the staff operating QTV the year I recorded mine, so ideally they need patching from an alternate source.
