Almost 20 years ago there was this....HORRIBLE game with AWESOME music. :D However, no Queen documentary EVER has touched the subject. We all know the plot of the game later turned into the WWRY musical and it was an expensive flop. I would have liked at least a little background info on the subject. Maybe a bonus on the DOOL documentary for instance. You guys have more information? |

I found a SUBSCRIPTION BASED website that carried it a while back. But I'm sure even that game could be shared with anybody who has it. Me, I just have the crappy compendium book: the ART of QUEEN:THE EYE. I heard it had started out ambitiously but fallen behind the times once it even left the ground. It wasn't exactly buried. It was part of the original Queen -Fip site if I remember correctly. Just never succeeded. I think it only got a UK/CANADIAN release Most band forays into PC GAMING sucked. the only ones I'd like are THE EYE, that one DEVO did, And Prince's INTERACTIVE one. But that's for collection reasons and curiosity. I'm sure they ALL suck. Even ED HUNTER (IRON MAIDEN) SUCKED and it was a shooter |

"Most band forays into PC GAMING sucked." Oh yeah? Ed Hunter? LOL. |

Exceptions were arcade games. REVOLUTION X (featuring Aerosmith) was fun. JOURNEY had a video game (never played it) I'm surprised Alice Copper and Rob Zombie didn't have a game. |

I've got the original The Eye release (and the accompanying book) - never played it as my PC with Windows XP wouldn't 'play the game'! I think it was released in Germany as well as the uk? I ripped the music off the discs for my iPod though and there's some great remixes and instrumental versions on there! |
| seagull 21.06.2016 15:49 |
I played thru the whole game. It wasn't bad. The visuals were quite stunnning and it was quite a large game. The challenge was that it was a little too difficult to play - too easy to die in a fight. The soundtrack was fantastic. I still have it boxed away somewhere, along with the following... Then there was Rise of the Robots with music from Brians first album. The sequel to the game was called Ressurection and Brian wrote Cyborg for that one. link |

I found the the eye versions on YouTube a while ago, I ended up listening to it for a week |

When I ripped my discs with dBpoweramp CD Ripper the tracks start at track 2 and are also labelled wrongly. Each track is labelled for the track prior. On top of that, Khashoggi's Ship is labelled Party on discs 3 and 4. It seems there is more music on the discs that can only be accessed during the game, did anyone manage to record those tracks? link Fight From The Inside Instrumental sounds great, I uploaded it to YouTube. |
| Pim Derks 22.06.2016 10:04 |
The music is awesome. Full instrumental versions of tracks like Ride The Wild Wind, Heaven For Everyone, Mother Love, Fight From The Inside, Get Down Make Love etc etc. Shame a lot of them were just 1-2 minute snippets though! |
| . 22.06.2016 10:59 |
^ Yes indeed, and It's also a shame there are so many errors on the discs too. |
| eYe 22.06.2016 14:46 |
I have the german version, and ripped the audio a few years ago with EAC: link The tracklists (copied somewhere) contains no Party, but as mentioned by link it's track (Titel) 13 on the Arena disk. Track 1 is the game data btw, that's why the audio starts at track 2. I still play the game sometimes using images in dosbox. |

After checking your rip I am afraid to tell you there is still a glitch with You Don't Fool Me (disc 3 track 9) at exactly the same point at around 3.20 Also Gimme The Prize (disc 5 track 8) at around 1.29 (same error as my rip from my English CD) Your rip of the last track on CD1 is NOT the complete instrumental version of IWIA (on my rip it is a 4:54 full instrumental) I will make some further checks comparing the English and German versions. Well done for persevering with the game by the way, I might give DOSBox a try! |

Can someone upload I Want It All from disc 1 (the last track - I don't know the track No. as the data track confuses me a lot) from English/Spanish version? It seems that I have a different version (sound like mono and has some hiss), but I cant tell what source is that (fake, fan remix or sth.). Thanks in advance! |

So IWIA on German issue (disc 1) are almost the same (4:41 and 4:43) but the English/Spanish version has 2 different ones? Nice find! |

RadekQ wrote: So IWIA on German issue (disc 1) are almost the same (4:41 and 4:43) but the English/Spanish version has 2 different ones? Nice find!My rip of IWIA (Instrumental last track) comes out at 4:54 because it is different to the rip eYe uploaded which is NOT an instrumental. How long is the hissy mono version you have, perhaps you can upload it and we can compare it? According to ultimatequeen.co.uk, the details for the two versions on the discs should be as follows: Version 1 (track 3 on 'The Arena Domain'): An instrumental version of the album version, retaining some lyrics. Length 4:42. Version 2 (track 15 on 'The Arena Domain'): An complete instrumental version of the album version, retaining only one lyric. This version is missing the very first second of guitar, and at 0:10 the guitar intro is repeated (with some other effects). It is also slightly heavier than version 1. Length 4:54. |

I think the booklet of the Game also mentioned Las Palabras De Amor as being on the soundtrack. Another QP typo/fuck-up. |

Is Innuendo an instrumental version? |
| . 23.06.2016 08:06 |
Oscar J wrote: Is Innuendo an instrumental version?Innuendo is an edit of the album version from 0:03 to 0:41, with Freddie's vocal ('ooh, ooh') removed, fading in and fading out. It is only heard within the game, during the introductory credits. As I already said, there are some other ''tracks'' only available during the game and mentioned here: link A Kind Of Magic Version 3 (only available in the game, in 'The Theatre Domain'): An edit of the album version from 0:09 to 0:32, with some minor changes. It segues into sound effects from the game. Length 0:22. Version 4 (only available in the game, in 'The Theatre Domain'): An edit of the album version from 0:23 to 0:33, with some minor changes, fading in and out over less than a second. Length 0:10. Version 3 & 4 Lyrics: (version 4 only contains the last two lines) I'm Going Slightly Mad Version 2 (only available in the game, in 'The Innuendo Domain'): It's A Hard Life This is a straight instrumental edit of the album version, of the start of Brian's guitar solo, from approximately 2:26 to 2:50. It is only available within the game itself, in 'The Works' domain. Las Palabras De Amor (The Words Of Love) An instrumental version of part of the album version, from approx 0:10 to 0:53, and it also features dialogue from the game. Innuendo is only available within the game itself, in 'The Theatre' domain. Radio Ga Ga This is a straight edit of the album version, from approximately 1:35 to 2:02, fading in and out over about a second. This track is only available within the game itself, in 'The Works' domain. The Ring (Hypnotic Seduction Of Dale) Version 1 (during the introductory sequence to the game) Did anyone transfer these to audio files? |

Arena track 15, IWIA, ist 4:41 on the (my) german disc. I checked it in EAC and added a screenshot to the mega folder in my first post. To confuse everybody even more I also added a scan of the tracklist from the german booklet :) Is there any program to record the digital output of a soundcard? Maybe I could rip the ingame music like that. |

^ Link you provided if for a log in. Here's an EAC comparison with the English CD1 (top) and German CD1 (bottom) As you can see, track 15 (IWIA) is different in length and size. Ignore track 10 (WWRY with English or German narration) Ignore track 13 (on English version it's Liar and on German version it's Party) All the other tracks seem to match. link link |

I have no idea why they replaced the 2nd ver. of IWIA. To me, an English ver. (ver.2) sounds more interesting (apart of MONO?) |

RadekQ wrote: I have no idea why they replaced the 2nd ver. of IWIA. To me, an English ver. (ver.2) sounds more interesting (apart of MONO?) It seems it's the German CD1 that has the error, and yes the full 4:54 instrumental is in mono on the English version. On the German CD1 Track 3 (IWIA 4:43) is the same as Track 15 (4:41) only with a second or so silence at the end. All the tracks match on the other 4 discs, there are just some differences in length due to silence at the end of some tracks. This is the 4:54 instrumental version of IWIA ripped from the last track of my English CD1: |

That instrumental of Innuendo seems like it has more powerful and less eastern sounding guitars just after where "ooh ooh" should be. I'd still absolutely love to hear the real backing track one day. |
