It ruins some parts of the operatic middle, the reverb is very artificial sounding, the guitar in the rock section is buried by the piano and the voice is out of sync in that same section, the disposition of the instruments is very odd and I would like to ask them what they were thinking about when doing this.
EDIT: I like some bits, but the majority its just very bad, IMHO.
Some bits are okay, and some of the harmonies and ad-libs are more prominent - but there's a lot just "buried". Also, agree with BETA about it losing sync at the end. I don't know what this is meant to have achieved.
Not a bad concept, but seems half-assed for me, especially the operatic section. The missing harmonies stuck out like a sore thumb to me. What I like about though is how raw sounding Freddie's voice is in the rock section. I actually turned my head to where his voice came from, even from behind which probably says a lot the "3D" aspect. All in all, this is so-so. Gonna share this to my friend, who's a freak for binaural audio, see what he thinks about it.
WTF is this?
What's 3D about it?
Sounds like a 2 channel mix to me where someone has Fred's vocals crossing from one channel to another: VERY annoying!
So this is someone pissing about with the 5.1 mix/the multitrack, and a reverb unit yes, and not an official release?
Just made me recall that there was an official 3D version of the video at the Stormtroopers In Stilettoes exhibition - I didn't stop to watch is so don't know if the audio was an alternate mix too, and has this ever received any kind of official release?
