Hi, everyone! Here I deliver to you 'I Want It All (Album Version)'. This is a pre-mix, but it has a lot of work on it. You may hear a restored guitar bit and a clean bass line, heavier drums, a stronger Freddie and harsher keys. It was really a pleasure to work with this song, and really hard to mix and don't make it all sound a mess. Enjoy! . |

Brillant !! |
ouhsammy 03.01.2016 03:26 |
Seems like it was released yesterday, it sounds so fresh !! I love the way you mixed the last "nooooowww", we can hear Freddie joking like he was crying... and Thanks for the little gift in the end, the bass line is killing ! |
ouhsammy 03.01.2016 03:27 |
And anyway I'd like to wish you a magnific year! |
Killer_queenIII 03.01.2016 04:36 |
I love how the drums and bass sounds punchier in the mix. Nicely done! Nice cliffhanger of IWIA's B-side btw :) |
brians wig 03.01.2016 06:17 |
Sounds amazing. So "open". At 4.23-4.26 there's some sound (someone talking?) in the background that I've never heard before and it's actually a bit distracting from the flow.... Oh. it's what Ouhsammy above seems to have picked up on and he likes it. Hmm. it's not for me that bit. It feels messy. |
hermenegildo 03.01.2016 08:42 |
The drums' sound is stronger and clear. Love it! |

Btw, in Hang On In There, is it possible to at least reduce the "squishing" sound on the snare from the verses? I always find that snare sound odd, I never liked it. I wouldn't mind if you wanna keep it in though, it's just a little suggestion I had in mind for that song. |

It's way harder to hear in the proper version, but in the multitracks it's mixed differently and you can hear clearly how it's more like "now-how-how-hoo" |
Vali 04.01.2016 04:49 |
Yessss !! thanks Matt !! sounds amazing and, as usual, love noticing those previously lost bits of the original mix ! |

Hey C_Matt, I'm digging this version of I Want It All, mostly the heavier sounding snare and the lesser using of the keys, I like it that the only times you hear the keys are in the bridge and in the end (where they indeed sound harsher, but I like it!) Thanks for taking the time to do these kind of things to (for us) well known songs! It shines a new light on them. Keep up the good work! |

Helloooooooooooooooo!!!! I'm back. I've Been working with several albums at the same time, searching a cool EQ to make these revisions more clean and equilibrated between all the albums I worked with, reaching too a louder volume without the need of compressing anything. Sadly, I can't push anymore the volume without ruining the wave. Thank you for the replies and the wishes! Really, to everyone of you, I'm have only 15 minutes now and can't respond one per one, but I've read them all. About IWIA, yes, the very ending was already mixed that way in the multitracks, but I really loved how it sounded, is like everything is falling. I could do an alternative mix with the album "noooooooowlink. And yes, I tried to give more presence to the guitars, since this song is mainly guitar based and the keys were a bit loud. The keys are aggressive and give some harshness to the song, but the guitar have all that momentum an energy that this song needs. Here's "Scandal"... I really like the result, but wasn't easy and took a lot of hours to make it work. While working with this I discovered infinite hidden details, and a great part of them were enhanced. Anyway, a lot remains in the shadow. Should I make "enhanced mixes" for these albums too? (like QII). I repeat this just in case: If I disappear, that doesn't means that this project is dead. I won't finish it until it is finished, and that means when all Queen discography is done... maybe I'll continue with the solo careers, or at least some songs, but for now I have a really long journey ahead. Thank you for being here, and thanks to all those who download this revisions but don't comment too! Enjoy "Scandal"! . |

Thanks Matt, looking forward to listening to your work as always |
ouhsammy 10.02.2016 14:41 |
I love Scandal and I was listening to it (the album version) as I went from work. In the album version there's such a 80's sound, and especially with Scandal. With your work it just seems it was released yesterday ! Freddies voice is so fresh and so strong here. You did an amazing work, as always. We're so lucky to have such a quality and sensitive work. So thank you for all. |
TheAdmiester 10.02.2016 21:57 |
Awesome work on Scandal, it sounds so "clear" and fresh, there isn't a very easy way to describe work like this. Quick question, the extra "tee nana na na" part during the solo, was that already buried in the mix or did you edit the intro (or the 12" mix) over it? |
Vali 11.02.2016 07:06 |
Thanks for the update Matt ! wow, Scandal... such a great track and now sounding so fresh thanks to your magic ! I absolutely love it ! a couple of comments, though; maybe it is just me, but I'm missing more presence of a couple of things: that "uuuh-uuuh-uuuh" in the background at 1:45 and 1:50 (behind the "over and over" line). Isn't it a bit more buried, now? Same applies to the 2nd voice (call it falsetto) of the "tomorrow hard times" line at 3:45. I can't hear it now, and always adored that bit ! And the "uuuuh" in the background at 3:54. It used to bring a lot of "feeling", but now sounds, at least to me, a little bit weak. But those are subjective perceptions of mine ! as usual, amazing job Matt !! sigue así ! gracias mil ! |
Chief Mouse 11.02.2016 11:02 |
^ I agree with Vali. All in all, you do an amazing job, Matt :) |
brians wig 12.02.2016 03:34 |
Thanks Matt. Remix albums are always welcome especially if you can get two different versions of a song by favoring, for exmaple, guitars over synth. |
Chief Mouse 12.02.2016 09:50 |
May I ask a personal favour, Matt? I would really appreciate if you could extend the fade out of Scandal (I love that song and it always bugged me that Brian's guitar fades away), basically drag it out as long as possible? Here is attached something of what I mean. Nevermind the volume fluctuations please :) I know you could do this kind of work much better. It would be great if you could do this, perhaps add it to the CD2 :-) |
brians wig 13.02.2016 12:06 |
I'll go with what Chief says too about extending the guitar if possible. I think "My Baby Does Me" needs the same treatment. Thanks :) |
Chief Mouse 13.02.2016 13:16 |
^ Rain Must Fall as well in such case? :) I just hate it when stuff fades out when something is still happening, whether it's vocal adlibs or some guitar improv. |
brians wig 14.02.2016 03:29 |
And then there's the dreadful ending to "The Miracle" where they've tagged a completely different song on the end and the segue is dreadful.... |
Chief Mouse 14.02.2016 04:20 |
Yes, the transition sounds just so off. I guess they just didn't know how to finish the song. |
C_Matt 25.02.2016 14:14 |
Hello and thank you to everyone!! I corrected those details on "Scandal". About the "thee nana na na" at the guitar solo, it was added, I always thought it was one of the nicest things in the remix and wanted to include it, since at the beginning is barely audible. The "uuuh"s were corrected now, thank you for spotting that! And the falsetto "Tomorrow hard times" was deleted actually, since I love Freddie's voice purity at that part and I always thought that the falsetto ruined that a bit. Anyway, I'll do a version including that line. The fade out is really complicated, since there's a lot of hiss rising up as the track end, and that mess up with the song. Deleting it goes inevitably to a quality loss, and the song sounds really bad. On the other hand, extending it till the edge and then make a fast fade out would make the ending a bit abrupt. I'm not totally against the fade out, in a song like "A Kind of Magic" or "Radio Ga Ga" works really well, because those are songs that "never end", in AKoM the party goes on forever once the song starts, and RGG could finish like the extended version and it would work fine, but the fade out is like the nostalgic magic still goes on. At least to me, this two for example are songs that I never want to end. Now, "Scandal" could finish with an aggressive ending. I imagine how, I'll try to do a "no fade out" mix, obviously if it's possible to do it. I see it really hard trough, but I've done it with "You and I", "Dancer", "Father to Son", "The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke" and "The March of the Black Queen" without having the multitracks, so I'll give it a shot. With "The Miracle" I'll do an alternative version ending before the last part starts, because is really beautiful and all, but both don't match at all. I'll see what songs deserve that treatment. Now, I leave you with "Breakthru". Enjoy!!! . |
Chief Mouse 25.02.2016 14:31 |
Thanks for Breakthru! :)

If you could do just the same with Scandal it would be great! If not, then I'd still urge you to at least do me a personal favour and extend the fade out even with quality loss and PM it to me - that would be very appreciated. I'd do it myself but I just don't know how. Either way, looking forward to this :-) |

Matt ! thanks a lot for Breakthru ! it sounds great ! A lot of new details surfacing and some changes that make it sound different...but really nice !!!! Bravo !! Just one comment: I went like "hey, what happened here?" right at 3:30, after Brian's solo and just before Freddie goes again with the "If I could only reach you" line ..... there's something there that doesn't sound right at all. It's like a mini-power failure going on. Normally we've always had a big global sound, setting up the final section of the song, but now that second before Freddie's re-entrance is sounding .... light / weak, don't you think? |
Oscar J 27.02.2016 05:31 |
Very cool mix - I really like how you've brought out the real drums so that they're audible over the drum machine. The drums start to sound a bit weak at 2:05 as well, there's a significant volume difference there. |
Back2TheLight 04.03.2016 20:28 |
Jeez dude, Breakthru sounds so different...and I mean that in a good way!! It sounds like you're right there in the room with them if you close your eyes for a second or ten! Totally different atmosphere to it!! Bravo!! |
ouhsammy 06.03.2016 12:39 |
Pffffff wow this one sounds so powerful ! Real unbelivable that you didnt add any instruments. I always loved this song and it seems like I hear it for the very first time and say to myself "what a fucking good group that's the way I love them" Thanks for that Matt! |
Banawig 03.04.2016 16:53 |
C_Matt thank you yet again, you have done such an amazing job with Scandal (although I miss the falsetto bit) - And made me love Breakthru all over again. Can't wait for rest of album. Thanks so much for all your work - stunning! |

Thanks, C_Matt. I really appreciate your work you put into this and other projects! Another gem to download... :) I need to hire you some day haha ;) |

Hey there-- Sorry to reply to this thread years later, but all these download links are broken. Is there any way someone who previously downloaded them get the songs to me? I would go absolutely crazy with joy if that could be done for me. Thank you. |

Here is some stuff by C_Matt from various threads: link Enjoy :) |
la_ultra_zona 25.06.2019 14:43 |
Great as usual. Would love an alternative mix of The Invisible Man with the bridge from Fred before the "ah ah ah hello" bit...that should be the definitive version of the track. |
dysan 28.06.2019 17:44 |
A real pity he didn't complete The Miracle. |
dysan 28.06.2019 17:44 |
And I agree with Chief Mouse - the more no fade out mixes the better. I don't mind if they sound shit. The Father To Son one was STUNNING. |
